Our Inspirers

Of the thousands of spectators who cheer or shout the loud chants of g-o-o-o-o-a-l in every football game;

Of the many who become disappointed or hurt when the score lines go against their team or their candidate disappoints in any contest; our coaches and coaches who express their opinions criticise and offers what they think is the best solution.

Sometimes one becomes confused listening to these question with varied suggestions. Sometimes it even becomes annoying trying to digest all their recommendations. But I guess that why God gave us two ears in order to hear and listen to them and think through our options or actions.

However you see it, in our lives too, there are coaches, mentors and concern people as well as inspires or motivators who speak into our lives and constantly encourage us to get going.

Although every spectator may appear to be a coach, there are few genuine ones who go the extra mile to celebrate with us and loyal enough to walk with us when the going gets tough.

There are those also endowed with the art of counselling and deep insight, who constantly speak into our lives, and gives us valuable feedbacks vital for our growth.

We know of the inspiration we get from authors of books, articles, post, newspapers, flyers, adverts, blogs and websites, as well as motivation from different speakers at social gatherings, events and in our interactions with people from different backgrounds.

And yet there are others out there, who still bless us with their constant prayers and best wishes. Sometimes, we may not even know they exist and intercede for us, but they live in the silent districts of the sunshine and in close proximities that may surprise you.

The danger is that because we do not see them or know of their existence, we sometimes belittle the subtle supply of energy and strength coming from these people out there.

But in chanting my litany of Thanksgiving today, permit me to acknowledge them, wherever they may be.

Kindly my appreciation to them for their unrelenting goodwill, prayers and good intention.

God bless you.
Have a cheerful weekend.
