WHISPERS OF INSPIRATION

Arise with the sun and walk. Arise with hope and live. Arise with courage to act out your dreams. It's possible our responsibilities might impose a huge challenge on our souls. It's possible our fears and doubts might be pushing us to either runaway or postpone what we ought to do. It's also possible the turbulent economic tides might just help us to ignore our true call or avoid taking up our mission, just like Jonah running away from Yahweh's call (Jon.1:1-3). Let's call upon our God daily for him to help us see our mission. Let's call upon our Maker to guide us through the turbulent tides to do what He expects of us. Let's call upon Him who designed our purpose and gave us a mission, to position us on the right path. Let's call on Yahweh to rescue us from perishing. May we find a worthy example in the deed of the Good Samaritan, to also be good to people, not just our neighbours or people we know. May God bless, keep us all

The other day, I saw a truck pusher meandering through the dense traffic around Kaneshie with heaps of his harvest. I could see assorted metal scraps and some discarded electronic appliances. Then a question flashed through my mind: where does our old discarded phones go? Where do we keep our obsolete electrical appliances, including our old black & white TV sets, fridges, microwave, rice cookers, DVD plays, computers etcetera? We know that the remains of man is interred at cemeteries. Our waste products are taken to refuse dump sites or special landfill sites, with some finding their way on our streets. We know for certain that spoilt or mangled vehicles are either packed at special garages or at the mechanic shops and sometimes at our police stations. But where do we keep our electronic waste gadgets? Are they returned to the manufacturers? I am not sure. There are many faces behind different brands on the market today. In fact, these brands are unique packages that promises to deliver a certain quality to people or clients. Thus, every day is an opportunity to assess the strengths and performance of these brands and the impact they are making. Good brands certainly enjoy a good market share for a while but BEST brands don't only enjoy a fair share of the market but always improves its performance to keep larger share of the market. You and I likewise have similar brands we put out there every day. Perhaps it's prudent to ask how our personal brands performed this week? Is our performance okay? Could we have performed better? Can we sustain it or do better? To build ourselves into BEST brands, sustain our market value and excel, we've certainly have know ourselves better, understand when we need to rest, reflect, and refine our thoughts as we resolve to build our Unique and BEST brands. In keeping a sane balance of our lives, we very often over emphasize the importance of our creeds and doctrines while neglecting what ought to be done. We mostly amplify our claim of being the most special group or sects but don't necessarily do anything to specifically affect people's lives. It is a terrible nightmare to see those trumpeting their creeds, greedily trampling on people's rights. Be that as it may, even in our approach to live our specialties, may we always remember that it is not necessarily what we profess that counts. It is not what we say in our creed that matter. Are there some truth in LIES? Are there any benefits in lies? Why do people lie at all? Children tell LIES for fear of being punished or as a defense to prevent the seeker of truth from knowing the truth. Often, adults also tell tricky lies to maintain their punctured good image or keep a certain calm air of order. Somehow, one gets to hear sweet LIES (Lovely lies told by lovers) or lies of convenience. There are also blunt or lame lies, the same way there are rich and healthy lies. There are official and unofficial lies, buried in calculated diplomatic language. There are institutional LIES hidden under the guise of unnecessary bureaucratic procedures and jealously guarded by the so-called Oath of Secrecy or by laws legalising the LIES (what is known as special immunities). If everyone was doing the right thing; will there be the need for rules,laws and law enforcement? She's cool and down to earth when we started school. But somewhere along the line her ascent changed. I hear they call it Locally Acquired Foreign Ascent (LAFA). She sounded funny and somehow irritating, but one day she mispronounced a word in class and everybody laughed, with some going further to tease her. Her emotions were buttered and I guess she learnt her lessons. There's a saying that a sinner who pretends to be a saint is far worse than the humble sinner who admits his sins. In all your dealings try to be simple and just be yourself. Playing the double standard or playing to the gallery could be dangerous to your health and integrity. Between sunrise and sunset, a lot of activities goes on. Whatever it's that you do, I believe you had a fair share of the happy sunshine in your life today. In every effort we make, I know results matter but effects are lasting. And though results may not necessarily be grand like we wish, I like to commend you, for at least making that effort to live this day. Perhaps to do more tomorrow, appreciate your efforts. As kids we played in the open. There are no walls but homes you can easily run to drink water when we're thirsty. And the biggest barriers were houses with flower hedges. Today I see lot of walls around our houses. We've build huge concrete walls around ourselves that reinforces our attempt to be individualistic. And the most sad aspect is that we're consciously trapped in these walls. We're trapped in tall emotional walls, unchanging attitudinal walls, unforgiving walls, materialistic walls, and in walls of selfishness, walls of greed, anger and deceit. Yes! I agree we ought to be security conscious. Yes! It's legitimate to protect or preserve our privacy. And it's wise to avoid troublesome people because of the pain they might cause us. But it's equally important to build bridges with people, because we need each other to live. It's true that people might disappoint you, People might betray you; some might envy you but it's good

I was severely drenched in yesterday's evening rains, and though it felt good, it only brought back memories of yesteryear. The only difference was that I didn't feel any feverish shivers to make me warm my wet feet by the fireside. Unlike my childhood days when the rains brought an unwarranted excitement to me, I was just cool and calm about yesterday's experience. Yes, a part of me missed my childhood experiences with the rains, but as I walked the 1.8km road to the house, I stepped in muddy waters, stepped on slippery grounds but with the aid of the intermittent lightning brightening the path I manage to keep my balance and got to the house safely. In life, we might get drown with challenges or drenched by the good rains of life. We might step in muddy or trouble waters, miscalculate our steps or might even be flooded by the events of life. It's sad some might get drown or carried away by the floods as we hear in the news but truth is that if y

In our efforts for  progress, we may go through several  encounters. But there's this seemingly obscured  thing we might not fully see but which are just a component of obstacles in our path. They are silent cruel traps of many shades and appeals. Beware of these tasty  traps, because many victims  are suffering from the psychological pain and emotional  bruises they sustained from these traps. Many nations and people are terribly trapped into huge debts that's threatening their survival. Many are trapped in scams and shady deals, while many more are also trapped into deceitful schemes.
