WHISPERS OF INSPIRATION

It's largely true that kindness and compassion somehow encourage honesty, truthfulness and loyalty, which also inspires confidence and strong bonds. Sometimes, we are visited by these occasional tenants of anger, fear and suspicion, which disturbs our minds and our physical well-being. However, it's a mistake to think that these tenants won't visit or attempt to tempt the tempo of the thrust of our good thoughts and friendship. It's a mistake to derail the gains in our efforts to build and not consolidate them to make the basis of our society stronger. And since we are not solely material creatures, it behoves us not to base all our hopes for happiness on external development alone but on spiritual, psychological, emotional and interpersonal growth. Indeed, common sense tells us we can refine ourselves and still be happy when we cultivate warmheartedness, and reach out to others with real affection and an appreciation of common human values. Manifest the good in you. Exhibit the beauty within you. Sack your fears, doubts and all negatives. And rise with the splendour, Arise with renewed hope, For the powerful presence of God's glory still, abound. As witnesses on this pilgrimage, As duty bearers in this walk of hope, We have to not only live our call to care, But to think of ways to share, live and work together in order to sustain our society. We need to redefine and uphold some values and virtues that will make us humane. We need to build together even as we strive to be human beings again. God bless our efforts today. A people without genuine care risk dying. A people without genuine concern for one another risk suffocating. Though there's a challenge in our current social arrangement to sustain some of our collective care,  we still cannot neglect our social call to care.
