WHAT ARE YOU ADDICTED TO?
Oxygen is vital for our survival here, the same way hope is in our lives. In human life, apart from God, who's God and yet a complex reality in our lives, we equally need one another to live and some things to enhance our lives. However, the challenge arises when we become excessively addicted to material things or certain practices which are detrimental to our well-being. Loosely referred to as a chronic relapsing brain disease, addiction is characterized by exposure to something that tickles a compulsive urge in us to attain satisfaction, through a strong attachment to or use of certain products, service or practices, despite the full or partial knowledge of the harmful consequences. Today, drug addicts are very common like the chemical shops in town. Alcoholics are thrice the number of 'blue kiosks' or drinking pubs we've registered. Sadist are as many as the number of death mongers. There are as many porn/sex addicts twice as much as the peeping Toms. Today
