In Solidarity with PWDs
In our units or cells, they live. Some are in our homes, houses, and hubs. Others were in our schools, or people we meet regularly. Some are even in special locations we know and visit. They are interesting and differently gifted. They are essentially human beings eager to smile. We may hear or not hear their utterances or ideas. But they speak and communicate in the community. Often their voices of concern are muffled by the loud dins. Usually, in public discourse and national planning, their concerns are bitterly an afterthought. Sometimes they are denied opportunities just because of their disabilities. Despite some snubs and pressures, a number of our compatriots still rise to breathe life into their dreams.
