Reliving our Identity
Our identity is rooted in our communality as a people living together. Our identity as Afrikans is essentially a people centred one, where one's concern was that of the community. The glue that binds us together is that authentic unity in every sphere of our engagement as Afrikans, which is still crucial for our survival. It's likely that due to the seeds of discord sown in our hearts years ago, coupled with the loud stereotypes we traded about each other and the silent conspiracies, has contributed in fermenting our mistrust for each other. In fact, the re-engineering of our social structures, the change in the labour system with the subtle blessing of religion to civilise the Afrikan has greatly altered our identity for good or bad.
