Did we judge them justly when their weaknesses showed up? Did we judge ourselves kindly when we showed similar weakness? It's sad how we silently rejoice in the failure or loss of our opponents or perceived enemies. It's interesting how we excessively condemn the misdeed of others while we keep mute on ours, or those of our love ones. We have a duty to remove the log in our eyes before frantically seeking to remove the speck on our neighbour's eye. Here, Prof. J. E. A. Mills' axiom " Ι e wo fie asem" (deal with the issues in your house) lends credence. For by the same measure we judge others, we shall also be judged (Matt.7:1-5). So let's be careful how we excessively crucify other people's shortcomings but rather pray for them, or help them, instead of vilifying or taunting them. Good morning to you.
