🌷CREATIVE END OF YEAR 🌷

Same time last year, I was in town not to crossover or watch the might of the last day's night but to feel the air of the last day. It was somewhat noisy, phony and funny but I just didn't like the depth of creativity in the way Christians were using to cash-inn on the last day of the calendar. Today is the D-Day or call it the mother of All-nights or the Climax of all the overs: in Crossover, Climb over, Crawl over, Jump over, Scale over, Scream or Shout over, Sprint over, Run over, Pray or Push over, Watch or Walk over, Take over, Limp over, Jet over, Dive over, Lift over etcetera. It's not just enough to do the watch night and the so-called crossing overs but to soberly reflect on our lives, our attitudes in the past 365 days. We need to interrogate our efforts, our Care, our thoughts and our actions or inaction, so that we will individually and collectively access our selves. Even in our reviews, overviews, and counter-views of our efforts in 2015 we can't

FROM JANUARY TO DECEMBER

From January to January, we've heard intriguing news of the jingles in our smiles. From January to February, we've heard frivolous tales of our begging state. From January to March, we've matched the transitional tricks of our Masters shadows. From January to April, we've argued our approaches to advance the adverse averages in our areas. From January to May, we've marvelled at God's marvellous mercies on our merciless murky moves. From January to June, we've juggled and survived the trauma of needless perennial deaths in disasters. From January to July, we've juggle through the journey of jogging with our limping economy and the possibility of borrowing more or jetting to sign IMF's bitter relief. From January to August, we've adjusted the distasteful grief in our creed of greed which still bleeds the blessings in our nation. From January to September, we've stepped and stumbled on the sages in our salutations. From January to O

LIVE YOUR DREAM

Living dreams chasing living souls in an interesting living heart. I want to penetrate to the heart and soul of that dream and perhaps reach the one who ordained them... It is a revolutionary omen for those who can take the test of life. It is a quest we must take to the next level. Even as 2016 beckons in the walkways of time, may we take our dreams seriously and plant our feet on the pedal of progress to accelerate our efforts to live in the newness and beauty of these wondrous gifts of time. Let us keep dreaming good dreams. Let us keep refining these good dreams in our hearts. Let us keep trying the strategies our dreams evokes. Let us keep living in the sunshine Divine Hope imbues in our dreams. Let us keep embracing the inspiration our dreams respires to do great things. May God bless our daily efforts. Be blessed

THANK YOU

We've been through better and bitter tides of blessings over the year. We've seen and heard many interesting and unpalatable news over the year. We've walked and talked through our thoughts of affection in solidarity this year.  Our hope in the rich possibilities of Life, with Divine touch has brought us this far. Fact is that God has been good to us, no matter our challenges, misgivings and troubles. Though we may be imperfect, we cannot stop trying. We cannot stop rethinking and walking our talk. Although we may not have a smooth ride in life and we may not be where we desire to be, Martin Luther King reminds us that "we must accept finite disappointment, but we must never lose infinite Hope." For making time to read these pieces every day, thank you. For making time to share your thoughts, I am grateful. For making those useful suggestions to improve this art, I am greatly indebted. Thank you for stoking fire in this creative belief. Thank you for ch

NEW POSSIBILITIES

There's a subtle air blowing above the misty wind that calms the many why's of life's unending questions. There's an assuring quest that still floats on top of the dusty confusing winds of our circumstances.  There's this wind of revival that calmly brings the rejuvenating good news of new possibilities to us. And even as we crawl the next 72hrs to the end of 2015; As we take stalk of events of this year; As we reflect on the pledges, promises, plans and projections of this year, We can all attest to the fact that the Lord has been good, even with our numerous challenges. That a King/President is not saved by the might of his army, nor secured by the weapons in their magazines; That our investments in power, titles, cars, houses and other securities or investment portfolios cannot guarantee our total safety; means we have to seek and revere our ultimate source of Hope, Love and Care to keep us alive even in time of difficulty or famine. May the Almighty Cr

STAND FIRM

They called it an in-out-out -out policy introduced recently at our Public Universities, to manage the little accommodation space for students on campus. It's an uncomfortable policy that generated a lot argument among the students and the public for some time, which was passed anyway. There is always an entry point and an exit one. Yesterday, we joined Christians to commemorate Christmas; today we remember the martyrdom of St. Stephen, tauted as the first martyr of Christianity. Truth is that as one enters another exits. Entrance and Exit are two sides of the same coin. As you enjoy the peace in the season, remember your Exit too. In his famous poem: All the World's a Stage, William Shakespeare noted that "All the world's a stage And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances, And one man in his time plays many parts, His acts being seven ages." In the passing moments of time, just beware of the different human tende

HAPPY FAMILY DAY

Some may qualify as being too correct or too incorrect or even unconcerned. Some may also be correctly incorrect, while others might just be incorrectly correct. There are those who are annoyingly unaware of the way they affect others, while others may be stubbornly unrepentant troublemakers or nonconformists. We say they're some way because we've not been able to tame or baptize their incorrect behaviour. Yet, it's sad how, we who incorrectly parade our correctness or think we're more correct to judge the incorrectness in others, often fall in the incurable trap of incorrectness. The adage that there's a Mensah in every house is just to tell the sorry cynical truth that every household has one or two bad nuts and that there is a degree of imperfections in every family. We might perceive or know these troublesome members of our family; and knowing very well that we can't sack them, we might sometimes ignore or treat them with contempt, but to get

CREATIVE STRANDS

In AD 2006 through to 2009, a friend and I enjoyed plantain chips sold on the streets of Accra. Between the same period, or even before then, a lot of sachet water 'pure water' businesses appeared and disappeared. Our 'fufu' has always known the terrible death of being cooked and pounded over and over again mixed with sweats. Since independence, our cocoa-gold economy has not seen any drastic change. Not even the black gold (oil) could change our import led economy. From my Village Republic to Accra and the few places I have  been over the years, we've always celebrated Christmas practically in the same manner. Yet we've never stopped preaching the same old sermons whose flavours no longer affect our too stubborn souls. We've never stopped dancing to old tunes when there's nothing to dance about. We've never stopped copying or applying the old notes, when the rhythm of the time keeps changing.  We've never stopped recit

GOOD NAME

What's in a name that people should hear about? What's in your name that confers honour on you? What's in a name that bestows power on the owner?  What's in a name that breathes identity on us? Whatever is in a name? Whatever the meaning of names might be? Whatever burdens or privileges names carry; reality is that names give us  responsibility. Names create continuity and extend divinity to bearers. And the undeniable fact is that we all have a name. But a good name blesses our memory with quality smiles. Though I might not know the whole meaning of your name, what I know is that there's a purpose and duty in our names, which challenges us to live in a certain way.  So let's find this purpose and live them. Yes! You can change your name if it does not resonate the true purpose in your quest but be careful about that move. That God has blessed you, may there always be work for your hands to do. Amen 🙏🏿 May your purpose

GOD STILL CARES

Can a woman forget her baby at the breast, or fail to cherish the child of her womb? Yet even if a mother forgets, I will never forget you, says the Lord. (Isaiah 49:15) Therefore remember that God still cares for you.  Remember, His Love and mercies endures forever. Remember to proclaim the greatness of this God whose love accomplishes great things in us. May the glory of the Lord shine on you today. Like the sun, may it rise over you today. Like the air, may it blow over all your challenges and cover you this day. Like the sky, may God's glory keep watch over you. Amen. Remain blessed and have a joyful DAY. ‪#‎ KYB‬  Sign#™

THE 11th LESSON

The wise are supposed to rule but often it's the smarter ones who rule.   Fact is that the smarter ones and not necessarily the intelligentsia will always be dominant. It is not enough to claim the right to be wise. It is not enough to access your right to seek knowledge. You also have the choice to be smart in the right sense. May we always be streetwise, even as we strive to learn and live in the sunshine of this smooth day. Have a beautiful DAY. Good day.  ‪#‎ KYB‬  Sign#™

May divine love shine, shield and sustain you this day. Amen. May the echoes of joy trace and locate you wherever you may be. Amen And may eternal peace rain on all your physical and spiritual needs in abundance. Amen. Have a blessed DAY.  ‪#‎ KYB‬  Sign#™

LIGHT & TRUTH

Angelic messages of hope keep coming. Divine messages of warmth hang in the air. Soothing messages of salvation re-echo from our saviour. As we listen to these messages; As we embrace the authentic reasons in these messages; As we convey the truth in the tides to all, Let's remember that:  Duty demands that we welcome our fellow-men, since we are all children of the same God. Duty demands that we help fight against things that hurt, degrade or humiliate our dignity. Duty demands that we heal the broken bonds of our  humanness, care for the afflicted, the dying, the distressed, the maimed and the neglected; even as we  reconcile in sharing our hope. May we receive a divine touch in what we do today. Amen! May we be blessed in all our efforts today and may Yahweh hear our prayers and fill every barrenness in our lives. Amen!! And may the Almighty God who has favoured us with this new day, help us encounter His Light and Truth in a  profound personal ma

HIGHER IDEALS

Aspire for higher ideals. Aspire for higher visions. Aspire for creative living. Aspire for balance in all your endeavours. However, if excellence is a value you desire to attain, then maintain integrity.   If authentic progress is your quest, then realign and reaffirm your stakes in the space of conscious awareness. If dignity and respect inspires you, then ignite the magic in your smile and let your handshake be firm. Thank God for blessing us with this friendly Friday. Have a beautiful weekend. God bless you. 💧#KYB Sign# ™

DISCOVER OTHER INTERESTS

No matter how many detours and adjustment we make in life, let's not forget our ultimate destination. Yes, we need to keep our focus and get our priorities right with a good balance of all that we do; But let's be a little flexible to discover other interesting things about life, even while we think of how to scale our various challenges. God bless you. Good day. 🌺 #KYB Sign# ™

WARM WORDS

The words of eternal wisdom are still heartwarming. Worthy words of worth are still walking our wicked world. But d on't be doubtful of welcoming the words of warmth. Don't relent in telling the well-intentioned words of witness. And like John the Baptist's  disciples (Lk. 7:19-23),  let's tell the world  what we've witnessed and heard. Let's tell the salvation words of our Lord. Let's show compassion and His merciful love to others through our deeds. Let's show authentic care to the needy and afflicted. Let's love the blind, the lame lepers, the deaf and invalid. Let's proclaim the Good News of Hope to all and  praise  God's wondrous deeds for humanity even in our state of  unworthiness. Have a wonderful Wednesday . God bless you. #KYB Sign#™

TERRIFIC TUESDAY

The truth in Tuesday traces the toes of our thoughts again, and tries to trek the trusted tracks of our Master Tutor, who still travels and tinkers those testimonial tales of our trajectory. With the traversing trade winds still touching the thatches of our thoughts and  tickling the tides of our  transgressions, we are tasked to transform in time. Living in today's transforming grace, always: Take an Unlimited Enthusiastic  Strategy to Derive and Attain Your noble goals on this terrific Tuesday. God bless. #KYB Sign# ™

MONDAY MOVES

Awake the morning in your Monday to move. Arouse the many mental motives in your mind to motion. In all you do, just endeavour to: Make the Orderly New Drive of this day Affect Your many moves, because it's another beautiful Monday. God bless.🌹 #KYB Sign# ™

REJOICE

Be happy and glad. Be happy and rejoice for Yahweh lives. Be happy and expectant of eternal joy for the Lord is with you. With prayer and thanksgiving, let's share the little we have with others. Let's share the little with the hungry and thirsty today; For the Lord will always exalt and renew us by his love; The Lord will always favour and bless us. God bless 🌾  #KYB Sign# ™

STAKES IN SATURDAY

Simple songs of similar strands continue to stream on this day. They carry sentiments of stranded joys and sagacious loss. Sometimes, it stretched sorrowful statuses strikes the spindles of smiles because it's Saturday. But even while shifting our senses to search this stuff Saturday strangely spews, may we soberly share the sweet-sour stories staring and screaming at our stamina today. Stay blessed. ☔ #KYB Sign# ™

FAVOURABLE DAY

Feel the free flow of favour like the tree planted by the flowing waters. Yield fruits of fortitude, fortune and freshness that never fades; because you are a favourable child who follow the dictates of your God diligently. Let the folks fish and flour the faults in our frailties. Let the fake frivolous friendly flashes of fellows fly, but  always find your fulcrum and keep your focus because it's a fervent and favourable Friday to face the forces of faith and fate. TGIF. God bless you. 💧#KYB Sign# ™

MERCIFUL LOVE

Once there was this mentally challenged man who drunk from the dirty gutter in front of GBC Kanda, Accra. There was another neglected fellow in a village somewhere on the dusty portions of the Eastern Corridor, who also fed from the refuse dump. But ironically, I have never seen any and many of these folks at the hospital before. Yet they are always strong and healthy all the time. So I wondered what keeps them immune from our daily sickness? Who keeps them healthy in spite of the fact that they sleep in the open and at the mercy of mosquitoes and the discomfort of our weather? How come with that, though they disobey the hygiene rules, they are still strong? Certainly, there is someone out there I believe who's merciful LOVE still breathes CARE on these folks. There is somebody out there who fixed the seasons and carried us through these tides of days on count. There is someone who alternate the day and night conundrum of time in motion. There is a God, who remembered to w

NEW THINKING

Consistent efforts are necessary for growth in our lives.  Persistent strides bring us closer to authentic development. But to achieve sustainable growth and development, we need creativity to navigate in the intemperate waters of challenges. We need to access our past glories, which should pinch our innovative drive to adopt unique ways of sustaining growth.  Maybe we need the discipline to rethink things we did in the past. Maybe we have to improvise some innovative ways to enliven the old things we've been doing to make bigger gains or risk extinction. May GOD bless us with that creative quest to infuse in the things we do. Greetings  🌻 ‪#‎ KYB‬  Sign# ™

HARMATTAN ROMANCE

It crept into our rooms calmly on the back of the last rains.   The unannounced visit seems to announce its loud presence with its beautiful dusty trade gifts. It comes with a biting dryness that drains the vapour from our skies and skins. It brings a lazy hazy breeze that affects our sleep and infects our visibility. The itchy Harmattan romance reminds us of the need to spread Shea butter on our skins; anoint our lips 👄  with oil, as we patiently walk through the season. With a lot of mist💭 hugging the air, we can't see the distance clearly, but all the same keep faith, keep focus and keep walking. For a sweet romantic Harmattan experience, may we suck more water 💦 ; watch how we use that good-bad blazing master 🔥 , while praying God to bless us with endurance to live through this season. Have a blissful romantic Harmattan weekend. God bless 💤  you.  ‪#‎ KYB‬  Sign# ™

CELEBRATING OUR FARMERS

Image
Day-in day-out we taste and eat their efforts in our beautiful bowls. Day-by-day we salivate to satisfy our hunger and loudly belch in our satisfaction, but don't necessarily consider the chains of sources of the dishes we gladly feast on. Year-in-year-out we mention their contributions with polished phrases in our praise, yet do nothing significantly to salvage the sinking status of the industry. Periodically, we expect bumper harvest from them, even as they continue using crude farming implement, when all we do is to only ascribe little resources to them in our budget. And when we are considerate enough to do anything for them, we renegotiate with our cronies, who are appointed middle men to help us over reap the harvest from our farmers. Is that fair?   Every year the annual ritual is on and we watch and use all the beautiful Anglicise speeches to decorate our congratulatory messages to them, when what we actually do is to chill in the holiday breeze because we ar
