Discipline of Wishes

Image
Reviewing and goal setting are synonymous to every end and new beginnings. While these projections and reviews are not cast in stone, we are still encouraged to set some goals to maximise our stay here. Guided by the vivid lessons of 2020, it is okay to be measured in setting modest practical goals this year. They could be concise, precise and measurable goals. That said, however beautiful or elaborate one's personal goals may be, it's incumbent on us to be flexible to allow for strategic adaptation.  Since discipline is key to success, we are obliged to not just heartily wish for the goodies of life but to be disciplined in doing what needs to be done. Some of the goals set require greater commitment and discipline. We may be unhappy and unwilling to even do what we know we should be doing. That's why we need to be disciplined on all fronts. If we do not discipline ourselves to do the needful things for our progress, the world or the forces of nature will do it

New Possibilities

Image
In every end is a new beginning. In every beginning are seeds of possibilities. In every seed of possibility are viable people. These viable people have an attitude to make the best of these new beginnings. As the fulcrum that propels the attainment of great things, it is my prayer that the good wishes we wish each other may be backed by a corresponding positive attitude, and a commitment to do the needful in 2021. As we journey along the mystery of another year, may we cultivate a positive mindset to live, leverage and make the best of the opportunities in this beginning. Let's keep the positive values, continue being kind in our little ways and be mindful of how we utilise the gift of life. I still appreciate you and wish you good health and the best of the things you are working towards. Wishing you a blessed blissful New Year/ New Beginning. God bless you. KYB ✍๐Ÿฟ®1-1-2021.

Thank You Note

We've been through many tides this year.  We've seen how interesting we are interconnected with the coming of our uninvited guest. We now know how vulnerable we all can be. Nonetheless, we managed to walk this far with care tucked with hope in solidarity. Fact is that God has never forsaken us, no matter our challenges, misgivings and troubles.  Though we may be imperfect, we cannot stop trying to be our best. We cannot stop rethinking and walking our talk.  To excel and emerge stronger, Martin Luther King reminds us that "we must accept finite disappointment, but we must never lose infinite hope."  For making time to read these pieces, thank you. For making time to share your thoughts, I am grateful.  For making those useful suggestions to improve this art, I am greatly indebted.  Thank you for stoking the fire in this creative belief.  To live in the future, we to cultivate POSITIVE THOUGHTS. To inspire ourselves to live in the light of truth and fulfil

Towards Resilent Recovery

All too soon, a tumultuous year has ended. The year 2020 would be remembered by many with our various unique experiences.  If for nothing at all, we have become familiar with concepts such as 'lockdown,' 'mask up', 'social distancing,' and 'new normal'. Beyond the additions to our vocabulary, the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted our lives in many respects. While denoting loses in some industries, it has occasioned the initiation, and adoption of innovative ways of doing things. Though we have recorded millions of deaths, amidst growing infection rates, we have learned to strengthen global Solidarity. We have all realised that protecting human capital is critical for accelerating progress in these times.  However, we can go far by caring more about our safety and by doing the little things we ought to do individually and collectively to humanise our society.  Moreover, to fully recover from the pandemic, we stand firm, be resilient in our effort
