WHISPERS OF INSPIRATION

While on admission at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital sometime in March 1998, curiosity got the better part of me. So a friend and I decided to open this door adjacent the theatre, which is always closed. Though my friend quickly slammed the door, I was stunned by what I saw that day. They were remains of both young and old people, as well as all class of human beings. I knew then that I could be one of them. Looking at their state, as they lay there naked, wearing only panties, I rhetorically ask myself, so where are we heading with our greed, excessive love for material things, hatred for one another and all the things we do to preserve ourselves or secure our immediate gratification? Realising that we one day die and living behind all our  possessions, I think  we seriously need to soberly reflect on our lives, see how best we can adjust in every situation and be good people. Every morning, I have the pleasure of receiving two beautiful guests. The birds come as early as 5:30am chirping & perhaps saying good morning. But upon a closer observation I realised they were rather admiring their reflections in the glass window. Like the two birds we also look into our mirrors from time to time. I don't like looking into the mirror but I get to see it whenever I visit the barbering shop to have a haircut. What does the mirror tell you when you look at it? Are you pleased with what you see? People will tell you things but get your true assessment from your mirror. Maybe you need to wear that smile always because you're blessed. - KYB

It's said that curiosity killed the cat but I disagree, because  curiosity  does not have the death spell that kills but only gives you new insight and some 'shocksprising' perspectives into things hitherto unknown. All we need is humility and curious mindsets to keep asking those pertinent questions; to keep seeking innovative ways of doing things and the will to explore our dreams to help improve our lot. Perhaps we have to rethink through things and also think outside the box and do things for the good of all. Be blessed always. 

Knowledge is power so acquire it. Experience is a teacher so keep the lessons. Prudence is a virtue, so practice it. Words are potent so watch them.  Wisdom is true, so seek and keep her and you shall be filled with joy and honour.  In all things, remember that Life is a gift and that you are qualified to live. We sometimes become too petty, impatient and complain unduly about how things should be, to the extent that we somehow drag our feet to do what is expected of us. However, Joel Osteen urges us to keep a good attitude and do the right things even when it's hard. When you do that, he says you're passing the test. And God promises you your marked moments are on their way. Remain blessed
