The beginning of every day requires efforts. The commencement of every activity hinges on our resolve to live. This partly rests on the divine grace and the gift of life for us to participate in the affairs of life. Indeed, it's a new day to put finishing touches to all we have been doing the week. Arguably, people work all week for the weekend. People wait and anticipate the warmth of Fridays. Children love Fridays too, because of the break it gives them from the routine schooling activities in the week. Most workers love the feel of Friday evenings, which the celebrated Yvonne Chachachaka intoned in one of her songs. (I still remember how we crucified that song then). A lot of activities have been pushed to Fridays-Saturdays-Sundays, perhaps because of its relaxed nature for socialising, cleaning, cooking and travelling among others. I know you know your name and the names of others. I know you know when morning comes. I know you know when the Sun shines. I know you know when the evening tides visit. I know you know when you are healthy, happy and ready. I know you know when you are unhealthy too? I know you are conscious of life and the essence of our being here. Sometimes we may know why the birds fly, but other times we may not know why they fly the way they do. Sometimes we may or may not know the reasons for every happening. But I know you know there's a God who knows the reasons why things happen the way they do. I know you know the right and appropriate things to do at any time. I know you know it's difficult keeping up with the right things most of the time. I know you know that we may not have control over all the happenings around us. In the circle of life, In the ins and outs of life, We hear and learn from each other. But in the corridors of our hearts, In the silence of our souls and in the thrust of our humanity, one thing is clear. Our relative endurance, resilience and courage to meander through this day is enough inspiration worthy of note. In these interesting times, please be reminded that you an inspiration for others.
