People's motivation are essentially backed by certain interests. These interests could be altruistic or personal. So in dissecting the various interests of people, as expressed in personal interest, professional interest and political interest, we are likely to observe how individual interests, communal interests, organisational interests, national interests and continental or international interests interact. We know how conflicting some greedy and selfish interests, hurt our communal and national interests. We know how unsustainable these negative interests deny all of us the collective good we seek as a nation.
