Under Your Watch

Eyes lite with hope, And many mouths heaved, The sigh of an enigmatic relief, To align with the realities of moments. Elsewhere elements still entertained, Eternal caressing of essential facts in Inflated expectations, overlooking a Zealous birth of progress, Somehow, the dutiful thoughts get dribbled by some attention-seeking mischief, While others wail the superlative and dreamy affection of a dead potion. The incantation and invocations of the night angels inspire an insipid fear, But none ever escapes your watch. And with time still jumping over farewells,  it is prudent of you to still keep watch over your children. In your goodness Lord, kindly protect and guide us into the door of this day. In your mercies saves from harm. In your love prick us to always act right and conscientiously. Please, blessed this reader and continue manifesting your goodness towards them. In Between Time

Image
Between then and now, Between morning and evening, Between sunrise and sunset, Are sequential spaces for our activities. Between our infancy and adulthood, Between our adulthood and our old age, Between that experience and the next one Between our birthdays and our death days, Are special periods for our existence. Between history and events of this hour, Between the older generation and our generation, Between our ancestors' whispers and our people's loud whistles, Between values of yesterday and the hybrid values of our time, Are subtle variations of what we cherish. But in between the moments and time, Can we say our value system can sustain, Maintain and contain our excesses? Can we say our children's children can withstand the tides of attacks on our dignity? In between our little talks and thoughts, Can we honestly say we are utilising the sequential spaces and special periods of our existence? Is there something we can do better in b

A Little Patience

Once upon a while, a boy pelted stones at his Headteacher for daring to punish him for scoring zero in an early morning class dictation. The innocent boy explains later that the intent for throwing the stones was to disperse his colleagues who were pursuing him after he jumped the window and took to his hills from class. Nonetheless, one or two of the missiles landed at the feet of the headteacher. The boy said he acted out of fear but the school system wasn't patient or ready to understand that scoring zero is part of the marks one gets when the fear of the cane induces one's mental agility to recall and spell words correctly. A little grace of patience I had sometime back had saved me from the fallout from dealing with a guy who defrauded me. Instead, the painful lessons were learned . Sometimes, a little patience prevents the degeneration of a small issue. A little patience behind the wheels of life could save us from unnecessary accidents or some troubles. It's

IT'S NOT EASY

Every day is beautiful. Every time is unique. Yet not every day can be a breeze. And not every time can be sweet. Sometimes we go through rough tides. Other times a turbulent storm could hit our sails and might threaten our safety. Often times we may get disappointed, hated or hurt for being principled or insisting on the right things to be done. There are moments when we shed warm silent tears about some mistakes and things that didn't work. And even when things appear to be going on well, many are still burdened with silent struggles. Yes, a lot of leaders and followers have headaches we seldom hear about. It's not easy going through these uneasy times and periods. It's not easy, navigating through these threatening tides, neither is it easy managing these unpredictable events. The stress of thinking to solve problems and get things done in a well organised way can be unnerving and daunting. I mean it's not easy going through such times, but kindly do well
