What are you chasing?

Image
We had a serious task as boys, some few decades ago. Our work was interesting but intensified during every vacation with colleagues of equal mischief and energy in the neighbourhood. Our duty was simply hunting for selected insects and reptiles, rodents, birds among others. We hunted for lizards by stoning them, chased rats and mice in our area, and also disturbed the grasshoppers in our small football field at the village. It was fun then playing and chasing these vulnerable animals in the sunny fields, but we became very exhausted by the end of every hunting episode, and will peacefully sleep without eating. Similarly, in our lives too, many of us are still chasing our dreams, security, money and endless drills of comfort or chasing work deadlines, prestige, pleasures and positions for recognition. Some of us too appear to be chasing approval or love from others. People are chasing people, with others too chasing the latest trend in technology, fashion, gossip etcetera. Som

LITTLE CHEERS

A little bit of work and play increases the joy of hope. However, in questioning the quotas in the quality of our reality, we can still quell our quiet quirks and querulousness and thank God. Even if your three children: Passion, Pride and Prudence, were hurt or chastised by critics, please remember that you're still a unique being who's effort I appreciate. Warm regards. Cheers. God bless you. πŸ₯€ #KYB ✍🏿®#

The Travelers & the Sea

Two Travelers were walking along the seashore. Far out they saw something riding on the waves. "Look," said one, "a great ship rides in from distant lands, bearing rich treasures!" The object they saw came ever nearer the shore. "No," said the other, "that is not a treasure ship. That is some fisherman's skiff, with the day's catch of savoury fish." Still nearer came the object. The waves washed it up on shore. "It is a chest of gold lost from some wreck," they cried. Both Travelers rushed to the beach, but there they found nothing but a water-soaked log. Do not let your hopes carry you away from reality. Credit:  http://read.gov/aesop/066.html

BE BLESSED

Image
The Sun glowed with a calm smile.  The day comes with a subtle bliss. As you travel the length of this day, Don't underestimate yourself or your potentials. Don't belittle others or the possibilities in your environment. And do remember you're blessed with an inbuilt capacity to contribute positively  and turn things around this day. Be blessed abundantly in all your endeavours. May your day be filled with smiles and good omen. Good morning #KYB ✍®#

COMPASSION

A concerned Creator breathed compassion unto our consciousness for us to see the day light. So since compassion is core to our being, let's be compassionate to ourselves and others this day. Let's consider our critical concerns in life and contract our hope in every circumstance. Let's certify our creative will by connecting with the Creators will. Do have a pleasant day. Remain ever blessed. Greetings. 🍁 #KYB ✍🏿®#

DIVINE CALL

There's a duty out there we've all been designated to do. It's a critical duty which comes with a call from the Creator. This Divine Call comes in various forms and nature, and accessed through dreams, invocations, provocations, inspirations, experiences, challenges, reflections, unique encounters with God and people, and through many silent visions or subtle voices. While some of the call are pretty obvious to us, others are a bit unclear, obscured and unnoticed by us but which our collaborators on this journey, are able to spot these talents in duties and hint or inform us about the need to develop them. Others are so frightening or unattractive that we tend to avoid them and often concoct excuses to insulate ourselves from performing them. Like a functioning body, our divine role(s) are vital to the effective work and overall growth of the body. This is why methinks there's no 'useless' being. Everyone is important and relevant in our society. However,
