A Care Constitution
Guidelines and rules are good to ensure order and the protection of all especially the vulnerable in our society. Codified and none codified rules are necessary to guide us in our lives as a society and nation. Besides the arrogation of powers and the designation of the processes of appointment, as well as the allocation of filters to check excesses those we entrust with power, there is a need to ensure a caring constitution. Even as we try to ensure that we are not cast down by the mischief of our political servants, we should be mindful of the abuses our servants we elect are likely to perpetuate. It's not enough to celebrate the stability we have enjoyed this while but to do more to lessen the widening inequality among the people. There is even an urgent need to even rethink the architecture of our Constitution to secure the environment from further destruction.
