Beyond our reflections over whether to lift or ease these restrictions is a thorny issue of how we will rebuild and relive our lives.  But before then, there are precautionary measures we have to still adhere to in this new normal of our state. In all sincerity, 2020 hasn't been going well with many people, due to COVID -19 pandemic.  There were times friends joked that we should even uninstall the year 2020. Although every year is filled with its own ups and downs, we couldn't have bargained for the panic of a pandemic in this year. With the biting effects of this tide, we have perhaps seen how deeply interconnected we are.  We might have realised the essence of making time for people in our lives and to reach out to others. Whether we are living in the same space or talking via technology, our interactions with each other should be strengthened so that together we can pool through this period unscathed. We heard the merits and demerits in our lamentations. We are aware of our deadly stereotypes nibbling at our progress.  We are aware of the benefits, working together for our common vision will inure to us, but we prefer the perks and expensive money from our colonial masters.  We are aware of the risk and toils our forefathers went through to get us here, but we appear to have betrayed their worthy motive. We live in the sunshine of our graceful wealth and yet we are the least beneficiary of these abundant gifts.  We're aware of our own failings and the forces that work against our efforts to integrate and stay united.  We are also aware of our own acts of petty politicking that is working against us.  It's a fact that our liberation struggle is still on and we have an arduous task to finish the unfinished agenda of our liberation.  As Robert Nestor Marley echoed in his Redemption Song, we all have a duty to "emancipate ourselves from mental slavery, none but
