FIRM FOUNDATION

Let your roots be firm, Let your beliefs be firm, Let your resolves be firm, Let your faith be firm, Let your foundation be firm. Because very soon the torrential rains will pour, The deadly waves will wave strongly, The tides of temptation and tribulation will threaten, Even self doubt and tiredness might set in, Gossips and grandiose schemes might unsettle you, Various vicious vipers might spit their venom on you, Critical changes might come in life to test you, Financial situations might hit you hard in the face,   But in all these remain rooted in your faith. In all the challenges stay calm and keep your faith. Feed your faith daily with prayer And stay in communion with your maker. Build a firm foundation with Jesus Christ at the Centre, Nourish your faith with good and healthy exercises, And you shall see the hand of the Lord in your life. Because your foundation is strong and solid you shall live. Because your foundation is firm you shall withstand all ch

Prophets of Hope give hope. Prophets of Justice act justly. Prophets of Vision voice their visions. Prophets of Peace preach peace. Prophets of Integrity live their intentions.   But we know too well the fruits of false prophets parading our streets. We know the pranks of some of these prophets, who abuse our altars and play with our prayers. In an era of problematic prophecies, where political promises compete with prosperity prophecies, perhaps the plot is for us to heed Jesus Christ's caution in Matthew 7:15-20. We are all called to be worthy prophets to advance our progress. But let's beware of these Prophets of many shades.   Beware of these prophets pelting our ears with pampered promises of prosperity, even as we strive to be worthy prophets this day.   Remain Blessed. ‪ # ‎ KYB ✍ 🏿 #

πŸ’©WHAT DO YOU SEE?πŸ’©

We conceive a lot of beautiful thoughts every day. We perceive a lot of interesting ideas daily. We see a lot of things daily, but how we see the things we see; How we interpret the things we see and how we say the things we see matters lot. Observation is key but learning how to tame our tongues is vital. Sometimes it's just not necessary to say all the things we see. Remain Blessed. ‪ # ‎ KYB ✍ 🏿 #

πŸ”EQUAL MEASURE πŸ”„

Did we judge them justly when their weaknesses showed up? Did we judge ourselves kindly when we showed similar weakness? It's sad how we silently rejoice in the failure or loss of our opponents or perceived enemies. It's interesting how we excessively condemn the misdeed of others while we keep mute on ours, or those of our love ones. We have a duty to remove the log in our eyes before frantically seeking to remove the speck on our neighbour's eye. Here, Prof. J. E. A. Mills' axiom " Ι— e wo fie asem" (deal with the issues in your house) lends credence. For by the same measure we judge others, we shall also be judged (Matt.7:1-5). So let's be careful how we excessively crucify other people's shortcomings but rather pray for them, or help them, instead of vilifying or taunting them. Good morning to you. Remain Blessed. ‪ # ‎ KYB ✍ 🏿 #

πŸ‘±πŸΏFATHERS OF ALL AGES πŸ‘¨πŸΎ

How do people describe your father πŸ‘΄ 🏿 ? Who do people say he is? How would you describe your father πŸ‘³ 🏿 and the fathers in your life? What adjective(s) would you use to describe him πŸ•΅ ? We are told some fathers are expert at goal scoring, while others too are active providers, protectors and pacesetters. We are also reminded of some fantastic but absentee fathers who have vacated their post, and those who generously missed the green smiles of our growth. Time and again, we hear of fathers whose gallant toils and tears still stirs us. Truth is that some have long kissed the ghostly ashes of eternity. Some still stand like pillars of discipline and foundation in our lives, while others still inspire fear through their uncompromising postures and fiats. For whatever they were or are to us? For whatever they have been in our lives? One thing is clear, that our Fathers are responsible for something in our lives. They're either directly or indirectly respons
