Every sunset comes with a subtle hope of another sunshine. Every night carries modest hope of daylight. In between the certainty of these happenings is an unstoppable stubborn force of nature’s cycle. Despite this certainty, human, as we are our hope, often dims. I mean at times our light goes out. We stumble, tumble, and fall. We even fail in our frailties and caress our defenselessness. But somehow, somewhere, some of you rekindle the spark and wakefulness in us. Sometimes the smile, the concern, and the touch of a distant voice of a loved one are all we need. I may be unaware of the number of people you interacted with. I may not be privy to who did what in your life. But, I am sure of one thing, that each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.
