Courage and Conviction

Image
We all have high and low tides in our lives.  Some shake our very foundation and threaten to sweep the happy waves from our comfort.  But in all these ups and downs, Zimbabwe's former-Central Bank Governor, Gideon Gono, tells us that what the ship's captain requires in both cases is the courage and conviction to remain in the water, as well as the creativity to navigate out of the high or low tides. We need not fear but to compose ourselves and be resilient in our resolves. Sometimes we need to look within to for solutions, other times we need to reflect on some unconventional but sustainable means to keep our ships afloat.  May God help us not shrink or sink but emerge stronger and firmly rooted to withstand and conquer every challenge in our lives.  Have a Blessed day. Responsible Action

Image
I know you already know that expectation is as good as possibilities yet to birth. But while contemplating your expectations please remember to take ACTION, however, little there may be today.  The last time I checked, we must make the effort to roll up our sleeves and go to the arena of action to create something that our future will bless us.  Like Prof. P.L.O Lumumba, I am also submitting that Afrikans (especially we the young ones) have an eternal duty to change Afrika, and we are not going to do it by just Twitting, posting any stuff on Instagram or sharing anything on social media platforms, no. We are going to do it by taking greater responsibility for our actions and by evolving an integrated approach that would help us build a beautiful future for ourselves and our children's children.  That said, we must consciously elevate our attitude from being excessively petty and undisciplined to making a little effort, at all times. This is because as Maya Angelou obser

Lest We Forget

Some still argue it's not real, While others contend that it has lost its novelness in the naughty narrative of the numb deadly blows it was unleashing in the sunshine nations. It's becoming obvious by the day that the initial anxiety we had about COVID-19 is expiring. And our efforts to be safe is gradually being treated with some laxity.   Inasmuch as we have to survive, we ought to be mindful not to be complacent in adhering to the safety protocols. It's fact we cannot stay under lockdown forever but it is also valid that since COVID-19 is real, we ought to take responsibility for our safety. We have to stay safe in order to strategise to live our dreams.  Your safety is of paramount interest to me. So please don't forget to keep safe by observing the safety protocols. Be on guard in this time and protect yourself on these curvy curls of COVID-19, because there is still danger in the unknown. Cherish this gift of life, even as you practice the safety meas
