Continue Staying Safe

Image
We least expected a pandemic could sneak on us. We didn't even bargain for the pause in our pulse. Neither did we anticipate the effects it would have on our very survival. There are higher rates of anxiety, distress, depression, and other silent tides blowing too.  With sentiments of concern in these times, we still have to be strong on our sail.  We have to be unwavering in our efforts contain the spread, ensure our survival, and continue to build. To this end, the accomplished Nigerian Novelist Ben Okri reminds us that "the most authentic thing about us is our capacity to create, to overcome, to endure, to transform, to love, and to be greater than our suffering". So while expressing our discomforts, our irritations,  and our losses let's be sober in our reflection, attentive to the wisdom of the times and act in one accord to solve the challenge. Continue staying safe and explore your capabilities. Wishing you a peaceful weekend. Greetings ©KYB ✍🏿8/05
