Dear Lord,

Thank you for the gift of this unique day.
O good Lord, forgive our iniquities and do listen to our humble plea.
Wash out our stains and sanctify our souls.
Please fill the heart of all your children with the treasures of your goodness and mercy.
Guard and watch over us this night and defend us against any foe that may assail us, that with the gift of another beautiful day, our lips shall sing unending praise to you.  Amen.
