CRITICAL THINGS TO QUIT DOING

It's an interesting fight that hot afternoon on our playground in the village.
It's in fact a continuation of an unfinished argument in school the previous Friday preceding the Saturday. But friends of Kosi and Eli who thought they're doing a ladies thing, incited them and even arranged a fight on that neutral grounds so that everybody will find their smoothness levels.
The D-day came and the fight was interesting match to watch but our wrestler Kosi lost terribly. And even though we the promoters of Kosi had wanted a rematch to prove our point and enhance our bragging right Kosi was just not really for it. It turned out he was injured in the fight and had to think of the managing his pains. So he practically said no to us, his promoters.
Many people find it difficult to say no because most of us are brought up with the mindset that quitting or saying no is a sign of weakness, a sign of defeat and make quitting an inappropriate thing to do in life.
We are schooled to think that perseverance and determination is the only way out of every situation. And we live believing that that hard work, persistent trials and always thinking of ways to achieve our aims is the only way.
But excerpts from Dr Travis Bradberry's: Critical Things you must QUIT Doing Now To Be More Successful, gives a different perspective worth noting.
1. Quit saying ‘Yes’, because every yes you utter is a trade-off. By saying yes to something, you're invariably saying no to something else. Learn to say no sometimes.
2. Quit thinking everything is going to work out on its own, without making an effort.
3. Quit thinking you have no choice in any situation. Quit doubting yourself because you certainly have a choice to make.
4. Quit putting things off. Start doing something today about your innate dreams.
5. Quit doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result.
So while we keep praying, and keep reviewing our efforts and strategies, let's challenge ourselves to live our core dreams. Let's strive to learn, live and love as we keep a sane balance in all we do.
Have a blessed weekend.
