With Time

Image
Sometimes things just don't make sense. Other times the confusion become too glaring.  We are right to ask the questions we ask. We may still struggle to understand life in totality. But maybe at the right MOMENT, In an appropriate SITUATION, In the right SEQUENCE, With the right INTENTION, And within the right CONTEXT, We would appreciate the NUANCES of this whole LIFE experience.  So while keeping at it and being our BEST, While doing the very things we have to DO, While seeking to better our LOTS here,  While being in tune with our Higher SELVES, And while trekking this face with Grace, We will understand the essence of this STATE called Life. We will receive better insights into the reasons why things are so.  Kindly keep Safe and may your evening blessed.  Greetings  ©KYB ✍🏿10/06/20

Dearest You

Image
Dearest You, Yes! You. I didn't mean to disturb you this morning. But to remind you that you're beautiful. You are gorgeous in your own way. So please, don't let anyone make you feel unloved. Don't let anyone make you look down on yourself. Don't be worried if someone doesn't recognize you. Don't let your mistakes make you feel less human. Never let your present conditions cage your dreams and aspirations. I mean don't give up. Wipe your tears and take a deep breathe. Do keep your hopes alive for in time you'll know. Remember, you are valuable and blessed. God still loves and cares for you. So kindly, stay happy and be strong. Greetings from Accra. I wish you well. Healthy Nature for All

Image
What happened to our rich natural vegetation? What caused the staleness in the weather? Is the quality of the air we breathe still healthy? Is the value of the food we grow still wholesome? Are we happy with the state of our stream & rivers? Are we pleased with the way we are managing the waste we generate daily?  Does it matter to you the state of natural resources we are leaving for our children's children? Does it concern you how we can better appropriate our natural resources? It's factual that the foods we eat, the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the climate that makes our planet habitable all come from nature. But can we say in all honesty that we have really excelled in the way we managed our natural environment? As we join the people of the earth mark this year's World Environment Day, under the theme: Biodiversity - Time for Nature, I think it time we reflect on how best we can protect, conserve and preserve our natural environment. In these

Be Cheerful

Image
If it was meant to be easy, how will we value it? Should there be no challenges in life, without a compelling desire to sail through, how will we get the experience to share today?  Certainly, life is not easy, yet you'll agree with me that challenges make life a valuable experience. Probably we are better of not giving up on all this. Today, maybe we should appreciate the rich experience life teaches, even as we value the lessons.  We should be thankful for everything that happens and keeping our hopes alive, for there's a good in every misfortune and a purpose for which they happen! Greetings from me to you. God bless. Stay safe. ©KYB ✍🏿4/06/2020

Support Networks

Beyond our reflections over whether to lift or ease these restrictions is a thorny issue of how we will rebuild and relive our lives.  But before then, there are precautionary measures we have to still adhere to in this new normal of our state. In all sincerity, 2020 hasn't been going well with many people, due to COVID -19 pandemic.  There were times friends joked that we should even uninstall the year 2020. Although every year is filled with its own ups and downs, we couldn't have bargained for the panic of a pandemic in this year. With the biting effects of this tide, we have perhaps seen how deeply interconnected we are.  We might have realised the essence of making time for people in our lives and to reach out to others. Whether we are living in the same space or talking via technology, our interactions with each other should be strengthened so that together we can pool through this period unscathed. The significance of organic solidarity should not elude us as

Working Together for Afrika's Renaissance

Image
We heard the merits and demerits in our lamentations. We are aware of our deadly stereotypes nibbling at our progress.  We are aware of the benefits, working together for our common vision will inure to us, but we prefer the perks and expensive money from our colonial masters.  We are aware of the risk and toils our forefathers went through to get us here, but we appear to have betrayed their worthy motive. We live in the sunshine of our graceful wealth and yet we are the least beneficiary of these abundant gifts.  We're aware of our own failings and the forces that work against our efforts to integrate and stay united.  We are also aware of our own acts of petty politicking that is working against us.  It's a fact that our liberation struggle is still on and we have an arduous task to finish the unfinished agenda of our liberation.  As Robert Nestor Marley echoed in his Redemption Song, we all have a duty to "emancipate ourselves from mental slavery, none but

Greater Discipline

Image
A Discipline life can help us stay focused in times like this. It's maybe challenging to insist on a 100 percent compliance in most instances.  However, an appreciation of greater discipline and respect for basic COVID-19 preventive measures are still vital to help navigate through these uneasy tides. And although we still need to rethink an authentic social support system, it is my prayer that the Most High grants us strong convictions over our fears; a clearer vision over our doubts; a spiritual sensitivity over popular opinion, and greater self-esteem high confidence over our belittling dependence on foreign handouts, so that we can find local solutions to our challenges. Wishing you the very best of this new week.  Kindly Stay strong and Be safe. Greetings ©KYB ✍🏿17/05/2020
