Neighbours

Like the raindrops, they come around. Like the dewfall, they caress and touch the air. And like the leaves on the tree, they shake & wave. They are ever-present in our many spaces. And yet, they are essentially our neighbours. Our ecology is enhanced with their presence. Our habitat is blessed with their personalities. Our encounters in various life events enhance our experiences with these neighbours. The connections in our relationship and communities are even exemplified by their actions. There may be genuine reasons to exchange pleasantries or other courtesies in our engagements. There may be interesting reservations in the revelations of some reflective reviews in our relationships, However, in these reasonable counts of our responsibility and resourcefulness, we can never i gnore our neighbours. That we are interconnected individuals, And that no man is an island or stands alone, We have a duty to respect & appreciate our neighbours, Even as we handle the l

Dignity of Our Efforts

It's true we all need light and life to live this grace. We need energy to navigate through the day. We need knowledge and wisdom in order to direct our sails on this sea of our voyage. We also need good insight to connect the dots between the many intricate linkages. However, knowing who we are is confidence. Understanding our nature is our identity. Identifying our worth is giving life to our dignity. Activating our conscious mind is the real deal. But delivering on what we advertise and promise is a sign of our commitment.  The certainty of our capabilities and positive assessment of our qualities is necessary. The energy we bring to each day is a critical factor that inspires our sense of purpose. Our intention to excel is a possibility but let our work speak for itself. It is my prayer, we are emboldened and proactive in this call. Keep the Peace Greetings ©KYB ✍🏿14/10/19

Be Interested

Can you feel the changes in the air? Can you see the hanging clouds above? Can you still perceive the aggressive voices in this natural mystic, hovering over our heads? Whether you feel it or you don't see or perceive it, Whether the signs are not so clear to you by now, Fact is: there are many happenings in the moments, With dribbling voices of various people, Which signals an urgent need to pay attention. So in spite of all the good reasons to relax, In spite of your peculiar ups and downs, In spite of your stubborn resolve to keep walking, Please be interested in life. Be interested in the little things in life. Be interested in the precious moments of life. Be interested in the happenings in your area. Be interested in the people around you. Be interested in those you ceded power to in trust to cater to you. Be interested in the kind and content of education your children receive. Be interested in the kind of media you expose yourself and your family to. Be i

The Care Manifesto

Our connections make us human beings. Our concern for life's basic needs defines us. Our care to still drive people to fulfilment bestows on us a great command. Our creative essence to bring succour to the dying, helpless, and the marginalised still breathes in our mission. So beyond our beautiful pronouncements of care, There's a common good to care for. The task to share a little of our comfort with others makes us human. So to listen closely is our care. To pay attention is our share. To attend to the needs of others is our duty, To help people wear dignifying smiles is a call, To walk together is our collective vocation. To serve one another is an edifying call. So we have a duty to reassure ourselves to care. We have a responsibility to respect each other. We have a responsibility to be good and not act out of malice. May your light shine so brightly to illumine the path of others. May what you do inspire hope in others and bless them with a renewed sense

Several Stories

It's dangerous knowing only one story. It's very injurious to hold onto only one story. But it's likely the many people we meet every day; have different stories besides what we know. It's a fact that those we interact with have many silent stories. Although I don't know how many people you saw today or how many of them you spoke to, I do know that there are more stories we are yet to discover. I mean, of the many faces you met yesterday; Of the many voices you heard or listened to today; Of the various individuals we would see tomorrow; It's possible they have many unique tales and details yet to be told. However, it's unfortunate we sometimes assess others based on the one-sided story we know. Oftentimes, we are guilty of judging others based on one perspective of an individual's character. The danger of a single perspective or story is seriously damaging our hopes and prospects. In as much as we may not know all versions and verses of vari

Subtle Intent

The waves keeps coming & coming. The breeze keeps blowing & blowing. Their styles keep swinging & shifting. And some of our own keep betraying & betraying. But their schemes are very much alive. Indeed, not everyone who smiles is a friend. Not everyone who speak truth is an enemy. Some friends are very deliberate and strategic. While others with permanent interest still live. Have we forgotten we were the uncivilized race? Have we forgotten their pledged to civilize us? Have we forgotten how our dignity was dented? Have we forgotten how our identity was smeared? But remember their subtle comings. Remember their exotic god & how they fought us. Remember their enticing mirror & gin traps. Remember the demeaning episodes of yesterday. Remember their cunning defiant machines. So after disturbing our order, After whipping most of us to be in order, And after helping us mimic their ways, Somehow many have become desperate beggars, And mostly conf

Warm October

O-pen wide the gates of opportunities and  blessings on your people Yahweh! C-reate a creative certitude in us that will challenge us to care more for ourselves and others, Lord. T-ransmit your abundant grace to sustain a willing  drive in us. O-ccupy our thoughts with new possibilities Lord. B-righten, Yahweh the smiles of your people  with blissful moments of blessings. E-levate our hopes to make new gains in this new month. And R-emember O! good Lord to renew, and rekindle our resolve to live in the warmth of October. Remain blessed. Greetings ©KYB ✍🏿1/10/19
