It is common to hear kids crucify the names of people when they start speaking. But over time they change by after learning or perfecting the art of rolling their tongues well. We equally mispronounce certain words daily and abuse the meanings in people's behaviour, and we somehow learn and change. We are replete with complaints in bearing our crosses, when we still crucify the countenance in Christ's salvation. We often crucify the truth in many situation in order to save the disgraceful face of deceit and lies.  Sometimes we just need crucify  our old sinful selves with Christ. We need to crucify the ills in our hearts and turn on a new leave. May our lives be transformed with the Risen Lord. May the light of the newness of His Resurrection, inspire us to live peacefully.    It's an interesting fight that hot afternoon on our playground in the village.   It's in fact a continuation of an unfinished argument in school the previous Friday preceding the Saturday. But friends of Kosi and Eli who thought they're doing a ladies thing, incited them and even arranged a fight on that neutral grounds so that everybody will find their smoothness levels. The D-day came and the fight was interesting match to watch but our wrestler Kosi lost terribly. And even though we the promoters of Kosi had wanted a rematch to prove our point and enhance our bragging right Kosi was just not really for it. It turned out he was injured in the fight and had to think of the managing his pains. So he practically said no to us, his promoters. Many people find it difficult to say no because most of us are brought up with the mindset that quitting or saying no is a sign of weakness, a sign of defeat and make quitting an inappropriate thing to do in life. Is it that common? Is it that very common? Is there a challenge of feeling it? Amidst the chaos of increments in taxation and the dangerous national debt hanging  on our neck, we can perhaps hail the efforts of our concerned negotiators. What's your time? What's the time? What says your time? Often we hear the tales of biological time. We're tune to obey the school time and time for work. We're inform of the seasonal time and occupational time. We're taught not to only eat our meals at lunch time. We've even learned the dictum of times tables in our stables. Sometimes we hear the bedtime bugs sleeping during the daytime and sucking blood at nighttime. Between gestation TIME and our birthing; Between our pastime and the present time; Between an event time and closing time; In-between break time and rest time; In-between rehearsal time and action time; In-between the learning time and the examination time, at the end time is the ultimate time. What's in a name that people should hear about? What's in your name that confers honour on you? What's in a name that bestows power on the owner?  What's in a name that breathes identity on us? Whatever is in a name? Whatever the meaning of names might be? Whatever burdens or privileges names carry; reality is that names give us  responsibility. Names create continuity and extend divinity to bearers. And the undeniable fact is that we all have a name. But a good name blesses our memory with quality smiles. Though I might not know the whole meaning of your name, what I know is that there's a purpose and duty in our names, which challenges us to live in a certain way.  So let's find this purpose and live them.
