A day after yesterday,   A day after the death, A day after the terrible news, we spoke our hearts. We heard the investigators words even while the love ones wailed. We heard the sadness in the words of our legislators. We heard the sorrowful dirge of the constituents. It's only yesterday some others perished in the name of this notorious game of our love, and we're still awaiting the reports of our protectors. Many more lives are yet to be accounted for in many mysterious incidents, while others have been buried in the annals of time. In the wake of these happenings, we see the spontaneous reaction of a nation in solidarity but as to whether we really care for our lives is another issue. Whether we really value human life, is a thirsty question begging for answers. Whether we truly love life more than the funerals of deceased ones is another paradox we are yet to unravel as a people. Whatever our aversion or dislike for it, the inevitable truth is that death is

Beauty comes with every new day. Each day comes with its unique opportunities. There's an abundant blessing of new possibilities out there; So don't limit yourself to what you already know. Several years ago one Class teacher teaching us Life Skills asked the class how many people attend a Concert or 'Dance' at night. We laughed at the funny answers some colleagues gave but some of us were just confused about the somewhat inappropriate question, and the connection of the question to the class at the time. In our confusion, I raised my hand and said two people attend Concert. Though not a guess work, I couldn't properly explain   why they're two but I said a man and woman go there. But thank God my answer was right. In our society today, they say if it is not one, then it is two or three. If it is not true then it is false. If it is not black, then it is white. We thank Yahweh for being generous to us by blessing us with the gift of this new day. We thank God for helping us r ise from the inevitable prisons of our solemn silent sleeps. Although we do it everyday, sleep is still the only inexplicable therapy that refreshes and rejuvenates the energy in us.  However, experts assert that though not everyone is able to go through the three stages of sleep, they maintain that we are all capable of dreaming dreams during sleep, while having some day dreams. Some suffer from restless sleeps, or a state of sleeplessness, while others fall in either the category of lighter, normal or heavy snoring sleep. But in analyzing the snoring gaps in our sleep in those seven or so hours of rest, it's a fact that this whole thing about sleep remains a mystery. We sometimes receive questionable guests of anger. Somehow, very tempting guests of greed or lust visits us when we least expect. We very often entertain mischievous guests too every now and then. We are likely to relax the rules, especially when nobody is watching or when our loved ones are involved. We may likely take advantage of situations, when we're in the driving seat or when we're entrusted with responsibilities. We're likely to behave strangely when our superiors are not around. Human as we are, we are susceptible to these demeanours but as stewards of hope we have a duty to be responsible and remain disciplined at all times. The duty of living is ever tasking. The duty of learning is ever demanding. The duty of  leaning on time is ever challenging. It's very easy to take things around us for granted.   It's even easier to ignore certain warning signs. There are phony calls. There are perceptive calls.  There are persistent calls. There are progressive calls. And yet there are powerful calls to solve our problems or push for our positions. We might also hear patient and peaceful calls. We might hear political and populist calls. And yet we might still hear the priceless providential calls to be proactive. But there's still a positivist precautionary call to prayer. However, we perceive these calls or whatever we make of these calls, they remain an inevitable part of our lives. It's still a deep reflective call for our daily preparation for the ultimate price of our personal penitential pilgrimage of progress. And even as we relax through the refreshing weekend breeze, may we recollect and reflect on the wondrous gift God bestows on us this day, to balance our programmes and polish our precious hope of preferred eternity. Another faithful friendly Friday breeze comes again.  Another fervent friendly fate with feelings comes again. Another fantastic friendly folk comes with another dutiful faith. But thoughts of these three living friends keep visiting our morning again and again.   They are our peers, our younger friends and our aged or elderly friends. Firstly, cherish your peers or friends of your age group, for they help you relive and relate well with the things of your age and laugh over some of those funny past events. But for those who are truly true friends and caring to a fault, keep them and never forget them. Secondly, welcome your younger friends and show genuine concern for their growth. Nurture them and help them grow in mind and stature, for they look up to you for inspiration and a sense of direction. So just try to guide or coach them along this path. Being innovative goes beyond identifying inventive ideas in our dreams. It goes beyond internalizing intrinsic inhibiting intellectual impositions. Innovation involves a persistent attitude in keeping our focus; having an invigorated faith in living new possibilities, while taking the right actions. An innovative lifestyle invites us to take it easy with life, take calculated steps, think outside the box to solve our problems, be receptive to new ideas, and be curious enough to ask critical questions.
