One vital reality about life is that,
We have several access points right from the womb.
They are essentially doors, openings, portals, ways or opportunities we need to utilise on our earthly pilgrimage.
SxwwThere is a gate to every stage of our lives.
There are those we know, perceive and don't know about.
There are those that we discover, unearth or chance upon;
And there are those that situations and individuals lead us to.
But all this, the people who guide, direct, show or open these doors or gates for us to enter deserve mention today.
The kindred souls who willingly open these access routes, and direct us to the opportunities and portals of new ideas or actions, deserve to be celebrated.
As we continue to reflect on the subject of gratitude today, kindly convey gratitude to:
• Our ancestors through whose toils we are here today
• Our parents for giving birth, caring and nurturing us
• Our guardians guided us on the course of life
• Our benefactors who reached out to us
• Our teachers who patiently taught and prepared us
• Our mentors who dedicated their time to growing our potential
• Our friends who kept in touch and believed in us,
• Our healers and spiritual leaders,
• Our loved ones and advisors
• Our enemies for keeping us on our toes etc.

In our quest to satisfy our daily needs of what to eat and wear, we very often forget or give less attention to the very things that equally needs our care.  Sometimes our busy schedules in search of money or comfort are making us take little care of some pertinent things in our lives that we ought to care about.  Oftentimes, we also become too petty, bemoan and complain too much of our challenges of what's not done or what's still needed to do. Today, in seeking a balance, may we always value the little things like our faith, integrity, concern for the human family. May we ever desire to respect human dignity and be prepared to summon the energies we are blessed with, to make the positive impact we intend to make.
