Reviews and Resolutions

As the year draws to a close,
Another new year beckons with much hope.
There is no need belabouring the annual rituals of reviews, overviews, counter views, and reflections or stalk taking exercises to measure what we set out to do this year, in order to draw new resolutions.

By now we all have a fair idea of what we have been able to accomplish, where we have fallen short and what we couldn't achieve. Whatever the outcome, please don't be discourage but be encouraged to do your little best.

Indeed, we all had our fair share of ups and downs, happy and sad moments, just as we had defining moments and minor moments with some minuses.
We might have had huge appetite and big expectations to do A, B and C this year.
And I know there were even moments we nearly succumb to frustration of our inability to meet set goals.

In the course of the year, we might have also incurred some loses in our various endeavours, with some of us loosing relatives or friends in the year.

In fact, the burden of bidding good-bye to the souls of our departed fathers, mothers, aunties, uncles, brothers and sisters, sons and daughters who transitioned this year, cannot be quantified. But we trust they are journeying peacefully in the land of our ancestors.

In the course of the year,
And through the maize of time,
I know you have tried your best.
I know you can still do better.
I know the God Factor was also responsible in getting us here.
And I know whatever happened this, we can still rise above our challenges and excel in the new beginnings.

Perhaps in order to serve humanity better,
And in order to be more productive,
Permit me to share the following points.
Please:

*Be ready to defy your expectations and don't lose your steam or motivation.
*Keep your focus, but don't work your life out.
*Don't give in to the nay Sayers but listen to your soul and rich counsel.
*Don't give in to the pressures of society, but be considerate in your approach to life.
*Don't give up on your dreams but strive to breathe life in them.

Do Remember:
*To keep your calm at all times.
*To appreciate everyone in your life.
*To make time for your family.
*To make time for medical check-ups.
*To be kind and generous.

And Don't postpone:
*The urge to visit your family.
*The thought to call family and friends.
*The need to relax or refresh by appreciating nature.
*The attitude of thanking people in your life.
*The desire to have a conversation with yourself and improve your spirituality.

While wishing you a beautiful end of 2018, please endeavour to live every moment of your life and take it easy on yourself in order to this precious gift.
Be cheerful and learn to forgive yourself and others.
Be kind to yourself and others, and let your intentions be sincere.

Wishing you a happy end in this new beginning. God bless you.
Greetings
