An Eminent Date

Death laid its icy hands on a friend the other day and his soul has since left his earthly frame.

Everyday, thousands of others vacate this space, under bizarre or through unpredictable situations.
Aside natural causes, sometimes our collective failure to care or our somewhat unforgiving negligence facilitate these deaths.
But however it happens, people expire or take their last breathe every seconds.

And copious tears are shed to irrigate our loss or mourn our eminent departure when we don't know the exact time for this journey.

However you look at it, we all have an eternal appointment that we seldom talk about.
We have an eminent date with death that we should not fear but prepare for every moment.

So from henceforth let's try to be human beings again.
Let's try to reduce our tendency to o hate, harm, and destroy one another to score some points.
Let's reflect on our awkward speed to spread vile gossips, envy, denigrate,  cheat and lie to each other.
Let's slow down in our pace even as we rise to the places of positions of people.
