A NECESSARY EVIL

There will be no need for code of ethics, rules and regulations, institutions and functions or reward and punishment or even the need for a value system if people and social institutions were perfect.
There will be no need for checks and balances or peer-reviews or monitoring and evaluation if our governance institutions were perfectly executing the task of effective and efficient governance.
The need for authentic progress demands that there was an avenue correct and address defects in the system, so that we get the best.
Consistent reforms, reflections and reviews or occasional reminders are needed to keep us on the right moral balance. Though inevitable, REFORMS, consistent with our  value system are much needed today to help  improve upon our lives, our communities and our society as a whole.
So even as we yearn  for transformation in every facet of our lives, may we not just pray for credible and effective Reforms in our lives, but to be strengthen to do the little things we ought to do to rid greed and corruption from our midst.
May God touch the core of our conscience to realise the need for each of us to embrace authentic change in the reforms and transformation we desire to see in our land. And may God help us to be better people. 👏🏿
