TO THE PEOPLE OF PEOPLE

Once upon a time, in the late 50s a missionary's desire to serve the health needs of a people in remote areas somewhere in Ghana brought him and his collaborators to the heart of a village. They left their comfort zones miles away in order to put smiles on many faces.
Through courageous faith and consistent efforts of the pacesetters, as well as the commitment and support of the people at every stage, the facility became a big three that offered healing, compassion and love, training/education, employment, experience and an environment for people to live and grow.
It is interesting how yours sincerely, also had the benefit of enjoying the shades and fruits of this project of the missionaries many years on.

So we lived and learned a great deal of lessons from our association with our neighbours there. The health workers and health seekers, the orderlies, the food vendors, the drivers, school mates, market women, the priests, relatives, friends, teachers, Christians, Muslims and traditionalists, the security and town council personnel, and even the mentally challenged. It was a lively encounter of people.
The school system also helped us to mingle and make new friends, learn new things and unlearn some odd things.
There were those we liked and disliked, but one thing is certain: that whatever
we're today, and whatever we've acquired is a result of people's dreams, efforts, love and dedication to a course.

Cheers to you and all people for seeing the need to do something worthwhile, like the missionary, who tried giving a lifeline to the people in the remotest part of a newly independent country. May God bless you for daring to do something worthwhile. Good evening
