From January to December

Image
From January to January, we've heard intriguing news of the jingles in our smiles. From January to February, we've heard frivolous tales of our begging state. From January to March, we've matched the transitional tricks of our Master's shadows. From January to April, we've argued our approaches to advance the averse averages in our areas. From January to May, we've marveled at God's marvelous mercies on our merciless murky moves. From January to June, we juggled and survived the trauma of needless perennial junctions of survival. From January to July, we've judged the jumpstart in our journey of jogging with our limping economy and the possibility of accessing the b itter I MF's relief. From January to August, we've adjusted the distasteful grief in our creed of greed which still bleeds the blessings in our nation. From January to September, we've stepped and stumbled on the sages and stems of a sticky flood that stoked ou

In the 2023 Class

Image
With Thanksgiving we crawled to crossover to this year. We entered the class of 2023 with renewed expectations, We joined the class with hope and resolve to inch higher. We stretched our yearnings in our white gear with glee, At the permission to exercise the gift of life in 2023. With the epiphany of the inceptions, We had the baptism of some pleasant unpleasant news. There were some unexpected expected goodbyes. There were economic downturns that touched our smiles. All in the process of the 2023 class. With some miracles here and there, We trekked the evidential path of experience of liveliness. We learned lessons through our encounters and engagements. There were low-high or high-low important rewarding moments. All in the vicinity of the 2023 class. With the melting pot of people, culture, influence, power, We remember the flooding that overwhelmed our comfort. We recall the vulnerable tears and the solidarity of our people, All in the memorable 2 023

On this Harmattan Avenue

Image
With the bills of the cold dawn long gone, The bliss of restless sunshine rises In the armpit of the Harmattan avenue. The grey scales of the sky spins, As the pale air parts the lines, In the arms of the Harmattan avenue With the heatstrokes of the noon shades, The light dusty particles rises to our toast, In the hands of the Harmattan avenue. On this dry streets of a season, The thirsty streams swings sluggishly, As the wailing withering leaves drops, In the corridors of the Harmattan avenue. From this Harmattan avenue, Accept my best wishes of the season. Greetings to you. ©KYB ✍🏿16/12/23

In Solidarity with PWDs

Image
In our units or cells, they live. Some are in our homes, houses, and hubs. Others were in our schools, or people we meet regularly. Some are even in special locations we know and visit. They are interesting and differently gifted. They are essentially human beings eager to smile. We may hear or not hear their utterances or ideas. But they speak and communicate in the community. Often their voices of concern are muffled by the loud dins. Usually, in public discourse and national planning, their concerns are bitterly an afterthought. Sometimes they are denied opportunities just because of their disabilities. Despite some snubs and pressures, a number of our compatriots still rise to breathe life into their dreams. In marking this International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) today 3 December, could we stand together, United in action to rescue and achieve the SDGs for, with, and by persons with disabilities? Could we promote the rights and well-being of p

December's Decimal

Image
The decks of days of the months, Details our determination with divine favour, Driving us through our distinctive experiences.  In the decimals of our decisions or indecisions, And through the low and high tides in the past 11 months, We just have to give thanks for being alive. As we acknowledge our Farmers for feeding us, It is my prayer we are given the strength to complete what we have started, as we decide to discipline our excesses. Be blessed with enough great testimonies to remember. Happy New Month. Greetings ©KYB ✍🏿01/12/23

Noble November

Image
As we nurse the new stories of November,  We nurture the noble essence of gratitude. So in thanksgiving for the lives of the SAINTS,  We recall all the SOULS who affected our lives. And remember the true spirit of Truce and Peace in the world.  To those who rekindle the spark in our lives, and are committed to Guiding us on this path, with prayers and support, We cannot thank you enough. Sending you my best wishes for the day. Thank you for coming this far.  Be blessed. ©KYB ✍🏿30/11/23
