WHISPERS OF INSPIRATION

We witness an avalanche of information from different quarters pontificating on what this COVID-19 is all about.  We see daily updates and counter-information or frightening accounts from elsewhere that further confuses and increases our anxieties.  It is our wish as human beings that emergencies and crisis situations shouldn't happen in our lives. However, these circumstances happen anyway.  It is worth noting that we are blessed with the capacity to go manage these situations. Indeed, one of the key ingredients is authentic information. During emergencies, sound communication is a critical currency needed to manage the situation.  During emergencies, we don't dillydally with the situation at hand.  Authentic communication is required to prepare the minds of the people, to allay their fears and give them some sense of assurance, as well as provide them with up to date feeds on what to do.  It is unfortunate that the posturing and demeanour of the authorities speaki

We usually react when we feel threatened. We often become disorganised and unsettled during these storms.  In fact, it is during crisis time that our capacity to survive is tested.  However, reflecting on our collective activities over these decades, I think we have failed ourselves. We have failed the other species of our planets. And we cannot continue living disconnected from the consciousness of our interconnectedness. We cannot continue being selfish and cruel to ourselves and our environment and expect to be safe. We cannot continue abusing our relationship with our common home and expect to be spared the ramifications of not being eliminated. We cannot continue being unfair stewards and expect God to congratulate us for our bad deeds. Maybe it's late to redeem ourselves from this mess we are in.  Maybe the damage we have inflicted on ourselves and on mother earth in the name of development is irredeemable.  To reform and transform from our odds ways might help in

Make it happen if it's what you dream about. Speak life into it, if you really feel it within. If it's the right thing you feel like doing, Then do it rightly. If it's a just course you should follow, Then find ways to do that. If you believe it's worth fighting for, Then fight for it. If the stakes are high and you value it, Then kindly take a risk. If you duly acknowledge its honour, Then work towards its fruition. Stand up for your dignity, If you feel someone belittle your efforts. Walk away, If the relationship is toxic and valueless. Forgive them,  If you feel the need to forgive. Apologise to them,  If you think there is a need to. Show them, love,  If you feel it from within you. Call them,  If you truly miss them. Connect with them,  If you value relationships. Show genuine concern, If you perceive it is the right thing to do. Just be yourself in your dealings, people, And never be discriminatory towards anyone. You could earn something big and manage properly

To be alive is a beautiful thing. To breathe anew the freshness is wonderful. Amidst the complaints and confusion of everything.  Douse the noise around you and be happy for being alive. Sometimes all you need to do is to smile. Greetings  KYB ✍🏿9/03/2020

In the gates of the keepers, In the stories of our uniqueness, Is the receptive warmth of a people. Their presence makes our homes whole. Their wondrous strength brings continuity. They are wonderful people who are vital, In our connectivity to an equitable society.   So as we reflect on the progress made so far,  To call for change and to celebrate acts of courage, The determination by ordinary women, we have to applaud women who played an extraordinary role. In the history of our families, communities, and countries, we can still count their support. It is in our collective efforts that we are confident in saying an equal world is an enabled world. So under the shadow of this care, I pray the Most High bless our unique and warm zeal this day. May we keep reflecting and doing the things that would help us grow our families and this nation. Who are we when we sing and sneeze? Who are we when we speak and act? Are we strangers to the sufferings and sacrifices our forebears made for us to have come this far? Our pioneers dreamt, hoped and desired to see this day. Others sang songs and demonstrated our preparedness for our political independence. The four million Ghanaians at the time were happy about this glamorous event in the annals of our country.  Several sermons of statements, speeches, and sentiments were shared on which course we had to take and what we ought to do consolidate our freedom and secure that of our brothers and sisters on Afrika's soil. We had a beautiful blueprint of how we were going to do it and build a dignified Afrika. We argued and somehow agreed on how things should pan out. Indeed, the storyline was perfectly envisioned but can we say the same about its implementation? At the time, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah said the Independence of Ghana was meaningless unless it's linked to the total liberation

We walk a fine line between mystery and reality. At our best, these two can work together to create glorious works of beauty.  Nevertheless, for some, this potent combination could elicit feelings of mismatch desire.  To live this charge of our call to life, we need people with strong Conscience, good Character, a great Courage, an unselfish sense of Community and above all, an unyielding zeal to Care for those who are most in need of it as well as to all humanity and everything that sustains our lives. We need to understand that a strong Conscience, helps us fine-tune the gift of life. A good Character enables us to do the needful.  Great Courage also encourages us to do the right things and accomplish a lasting impact. A fair sense of Community stimulates lively solidarity among our relationships and networks. And a Caring zeal reminds us of the need to reach out to others. Our humanity becomes complete and lively when we integrate these 5Cs in our lives.  Stay blessed. Greetings  ©K
