Lest We Forget

It's a fact that we may face one of two challenges in this life. Some can be benign and subtle, others can be loud and conspicuous. It's sometimes convenient to apportion blames and deny reality or even give up.  But lest we forget our worth as a people in trying times. Lest we forget the dignity of life and treasures in each person. Lest we forget to respect and protect life. Lest we forget the deadly sting of our sins. Lest we forget our hope to live and grow. Lest we forget our responsibility to lead worthy lives. Lest we forget our resolve to give off our best this day. Lest we forget the truth that time is precious and that we have to value it. Lest we forget to make effective use of time this day. Lest we forget our duty to take care of ourselves and our environment. Lest we forget our commitment and duty to be good. Lest we forget the dream killers and the amulets in their smiles. Lest we forget the burden our constant complains places on our convictions.

Some Days

Some conversations are essential on some days. Some introspection and reflections are necessary. Sometimes we need these moments to relink and reconnect to ourselves and others. There are some days you feel the urge you should.  Other days too you feel like you shouldn’t.  Although some days you just don’t how, It's necessary to retune and refocus. It's a fact that the momentum you feel is real. So don’t hesitate to dream big when it comes to transformation. Be calm and collected when unsure, but never stop moving or making progress. As we stand at the threshold of change, may we be ever prepared to take steps in order to make profound transformation. Some days we just to remind ourselves of our values, our common wealth and the need to contribute to the well-being of others and our community as a whole. May your day be blessed. Building the Future Together

Image
The need to cooperate, dialogue, work together and care for one another is a relevant ingredient to building the future we want. In spite of the many stormy tides on the sea of our sails, sweeping across the globe 🌎, we still have recourse to value and respect each other and do the needful things to safeguard our planet. UN flag by John Isaac With the theme: "Climate Action for Peace" to commemorate the 74th anniversary of the U.N Day, we are individually invited to pay attention to the importance of combatting climate change as a way to protect and promote peace throughout the world. It is interesting to note that in our interlinked and interrelated world, we are all affected by each other's actions or inactions on how we use, manage and preserve our environment. And that is the more reason we should be concerned about Climate change issues and work together to address the clear threats it poses to international peace and security. That said we still need

Value Your Identity

The calm waves breathed another brief stroke of the beautiful breeze that morning. It's uneventful until one tall lanky sunburnt fellow walks to the gates of the linguist's house.  The linguist, an affable friendly son of KwesibankyΓ©, is a returnee with the accolade of a polyglot who has his way with languages. I was a bit surprised how the stranger, was able to locate our Linguist's house. And his ability to to locate his way to the linguist gates reduces our guesswork as we thought he was a regular guest. But from the strange aura surrounding him, signals that the man has news for our ears. Before everybody could begin the day, they directed a certain amount of attention to observe the man from a calculated distance. This man who shouted agoo! Agoo!! at the gates, before being ushered into the house by one of the linguist's sons, after taking three steps ceased to move. He stood in the middle of the house as if being commanded by the Gods of the land. Then we saw h

Balance & Moderation

Confucius once observed that “to go beyond is as wrong as to fall short.” Therefore, in our walk today, let's seek balance and moderation in all our endeavours. Remain Blessed. Greetings☘πŸ‡ ©KYB ✍🏿 22/10/19

Neighbours

Like the raindrops, they come around. Like the dewfall, they caress and touch the air. And like the leaves on the tree, they shake & wave. They are ever-present in our many spaces. And yet, they are essentially our neighbours. Our ecology is enhanced with their presence. Our habitat is blessed with their personalities. Our encounters in various life events enhance our experiences with these neighbours. The connections in our relationship and communities are even exemplified by their actions. There may be genuine reasons to exchange pleasantries or other courtesies in our engagements. There may be interesting reservations in the revelations of some reflective reviews in our relationships, However, in these reasonable counts of our responsibility and resourcefulness, we can never i gnore our neighbours. That we are interconnected individuals, And that no man is an island or stands alone, We have a duty to respect & appreciate our neighbours, Even as we handle the l

Dignity of Our Efforts

It's true we all need light and life to live this grace. We need energy to navigate through the day. We need knowledge and wisdom in order to direct our sails on this sea of our voyage. We also need good insight to connect the dots between the many intricate linkages. However, knowing who we are is confidence. Understanding our nature is our identity. Identifying our worth is giving life to our dignity. Activating our conscious mind is the real deal. But delivering on what we advertise and promise is a sign of our commitment.  The certainty of our capabilities and positive assessment of our qualities is necessary. The energy we bring to each day is a critical factor that inspires our sense of purpose. Our intention to excel is a possibility but let our work speak for itself. It is my prayer, we are emboldened and proactive in this call. Keep the Peace Greetings ©KYB ✍🏿14/10/19
