Building the Future Together

The need to cooperate, dialogue, work together and care for one another is a relevant ingredient to building the future we want.

In spite of the many stormy tides on the sea of our sails, sweeping across the globe 🌎, we still have recourse to value and respect each other and do the needful things to safeguard our planet.

With the theme: "Climate Action for Peace" to commemorate the 74th anniversary of the U.N Day, we are individually invited to pay attention to the importance of combatting climate change as a way to protect and promote peace throughout the world.

It is interesting to note that in our interlinked and interrelated world, we are all affected by each other's actions or inactions on how we use, manage and preserve our environment. And that is the more reason we should be concerned about Climate change issues and work together to address the clear threats it poses to international peace and security.

That said we still need to continue educating ourselves on issues of concern and galvanize the needed political and public will, as well as the contribute resources to address our communal, environmental, national, continental and global problems.

Since people are people because of people, we have a good reason to celebrate the ideals of peace today, even as we continue to think through the issues affecting our common health, and to dialogue to implement lasting solutions.

To reinforce our belief in one common humanity, we should be willing to listen to our hopes and fears and to learn from our experiences in order not to repeat the mistakes of yesteryear.
