In Every Age and Stage

Reflecting on how these birds feed and cloth themselves, I still can't phantom how they survive in the wild. It still amazes me how we still wake to meet this new day with new hope. Sometimes it's interesting how we manage to survive through these tides of testaments. And although we may express delight in how far we have come, we have a duty to acknowledge whoever contributed to helping us reach this milestone. This is the more reason why in every age and stage, we have to remember the one who helped quenched our thirst with a cup of water. Wherever you are at the moment, please never forget whoever loved you when you were a child. Never forget the one who blessed you with the gift of life. Never forget the one who taught you how to walk and talk. Never forget the one who still guides your steps and looks out for you. Even if you forget, do remember the one who watches over you every day and night. Remember the one who cared to wake you up every morning.  Remember y

Someone Admires You

I may not know all your challenges, Neither would I pretend I know or understand your story and your situation, but in spite of what you are, someone out there still admires you. I  mean: Somebody still appreciates the support you gave them yesterday. Somebody values your kind words of counsel & treasures them. Somebody likes your spirit and cannot wait to see you come around or progress. Somebody loves you for who you are. Somebody thinks of you and still cares. Somebody is alive because of you. Somebody believes in your ability. Somebody remembers you and wishes you were there. Just in case you have forgotten, kindly be reminded that: Someone out there wants to be forgiven. Someone wishes things didn't have to change. Some want to be your friend. Someone is hoping they could grow old with you. Someone hears a song, sound, tune or voice that reminds them of you. Someone misses you and desires to connect with you. Someone dreams of you and wants you to know how

Silent Battles

It happened that among a group of young people smiling heartily, there was this friend who had a stale smile, although he looked a bit cheerful. The other day, I saw this middle-aged man, walking down the road, whom I greeted. But from the way, he responded with a somber smile I had this strange feeling within me all wasn't well. There's a good friend whom I overheard at dawn weeping in his prayer to God. I  was apparently supposed to passed information to him before traveling to Accra. It occurred to me then that a lot of people are also shedding copious tears because of their peculiar conditions or the betrayals or disappointment they suffered. Some are shedding tears over their sickness, failures and for the seemingly nonprogressive life path, they found themselves on. It is somehow revealing to know that some people wear well-rehearsed smiles to get going and to hide their peculiar battles. In fact, one doesn't need a degree or a special certificate in the rudiment

Row Your Boat

Wake up to live this endless possibility. Wake up to relish the power within you. Wake up to the truth that you are more than you might even know. As you walk into this new day with vigour, Row your boat gently down the stream. Paddle your boat merrily into the day. Set your boat on sail along with the tides of hope, because you are the Captain of your boat. Move your boat with optimism because the Lord is your anchor. As captains do in ships, kindly take control of your life and keep a constant motion. Let your motion be gentle and not forceful. I mean keep paddling your boat steadily and flow soothingly along the streams of consciousness. Since life is but an opportune dream of missions in the many moments of linkages, let's keep a wakeful watch in this walk, even as we wear a cheerful smile. In all the happenings today, please remember, life is a passing dream, so don't fight the reality with your own interpretation or get stressed with your current circumstances

In the Mile of a Day

In the Mile of a Day I remember The smiles in miles, Which compared with the streaks of sweat. But in every season there's still a reason to Still kiss the smile of memories. There might be a genuine cloud of doubt, And an earnest desire to know why it is so, But walking in the landmine of thoughts Burdened with heavy pregnant questions, Things still happen the way they do, Without regard to our feelings. Yes! A lot will still happen in this space, But are we to be deterred to lose the locus of our focus? Or are we required to stay awake and be eternally vigilant? Even so, how cautiously careful can we be careful to be carefree? Although we cannot avoid every happening, we must be mindful of our powers, capabilities and frailties. As human beings, whatever happens on this journey, please choose kindness over drama; and selflessness over selfishness. In fact, when we choose calmness over anxiety; or generosity over meanness; When we choose forgiveness over stubborn

Your Voice Matters

Voice of reason still stalks our mind, While voices of hope still speak to us. But in the open market of voices, With the distracting desire to be heard, Many voices become louder, and often it's the loudest that gets heard. So, it is not surprising that our noise levels have increased because there's a feeling we have to shout or make noise in order to be heard. We all have voices we desire to express. But in the market spaces of our talks, And in the midst of the noisy competing voices, we ought to make time to listen. It is a fact that some authoritative opinionated voices, may hold sway in some matters in this space. But in listening to these lawful voices, Please remember that your voice matters. I mean, never let anyone imprisoned your beautiful voice. Never be intimidated to hold your own. Never be afraid to disagree with the loud naked voices that run with the wind. And never succumb to the confusing conflicting populist voices of this day. However, as y

Choice of Words

Communication is an essential part of our lives and our development. It even qualifies as a necessary tool of our survival. Everyone has a unique way and special mannerism of communicating our reasons, actions, reactions and meanings with others. However, in whatever form we choose to express ourselves in these moments, please may we never underestimate the power in our words, since they carry an air of authority with them. Indeed, we have a duty to appreciate the potency of our words and learn to apply them effectively. I wish you well. Greetings.πŸ‰πŸŒΉ ©KYB ✍🏿11/08/19
