Where is the end? When is the end time? Who controls this end time? Why should there be an end time? How long are we from the end time? Are we in the end times? Although, I am still trying to figure out the answers to these questions, I still want to thank you for the part you play in this space and time. It is a fact that we won't be here forever, And that we will one day vacate this space, but please permit me to acknowledge your efforts here. You are still valuable in many respects that you may not know. Please never forget this truth that your somebody someone still cares for. Never forget where you are coming from and all the experiences you've acquired all these years. Never forget your humble beginnings, even as you travel along the path of this day. Watch out for our tendency to exploit others, especially vulnerable ones or loved ones. Watch out for our desire to be greedy and forget those who really care. Watch out for your interest in others and other's interest in you. Watch out, because things are not the way they seem to be. The gift of a new day comes. The blessings of new month visits. But out there, there is a need to continue our duty of care. Over the distance and in our context as a people, we have to give thanks for the blessings and how far we have come. And in our attempt to live, may God bless us with the beauty of deep thoughts and unique imaginations to create something new. May this God help us, manage our anger and pride, in order to navigate through the maze of grace. And even as we seek to strike a balance between our work, personal life, emotions, finances, and spirituality, may we ever be strong and encouraged to go the extra mile. The beginning of every day requires efforts. The commencement of every activity hinges on our resolve to live. This partly rests on the divine grace and the gift of life for us to participate in the affairs of life. Indeed, it's a new day to put finishing touches to all we have been doing the week. Arguably, people work all week for the weekend. People wait and anticipate the warmth of Fridays. Children love Fridays too, because of the break it gives them from the routine schooling activities in the week. Most workers love the feel of Friday evenings, which the celebrated Yvonne Chachachaka intoned in one of her songs. (I still remember how we crucified that song then). A lot of activities have been pushed to Fridays-Saturdays-Sundays, perhaps because of its relaxed nature for socialising, cleaning, cooking and travelling among others. I know you know when you are healthy, happy and ready. I know you know when you are unhealthy too? I know you are conscious of life and the essence of our being here. Sometimes we may know why the birds fly, but other times we may not know why they fly the way they do. Sometimes we may or may not know the reasons for every happening. In the circle of life, In the ins and outs of life, We hear and learn from each other. But in the corridors of our hearts, In the silence of our souls and in the thrust of our humanity, one thing is clear.
