WHISPERS OF INSPIRATION

Everywhere we go, there are people. People make families, communities, towns, cities, metropolis, states, nations or countries. In our histories and stories, it's mostly people we read or hear about. The exploits of people in the past, present and in the future will always be told. So it is essential for us to understand that we are a people because of others. We are a people because of the toils, dedication and commitment of our forebears, who long started this walk of liberation. And we are mostly a people because of the delight of guiding another people (next generation) to learn the art of living and breathing life into their visions. We have heard and listened to the stories and challenges of our ancestors. We learned of their success, challenges as well as failures and weakness. We are aware of the price of the extreme disagreements of people's plans, plots and programmes in politics at different places and within different contexts over the years. However, we c

Times are hard and it is no longer a funny secret. In fact, the reality is such that we can no pretend about this challenge. While not shying away from the reality on the ground, we have to retune our minds and focus on doing the needful things this day. We have an obligation to manage and navigate through these hard times and birth innovative approaches to scale through. However, as beautiful beams of rays filters the morning sky, As another window comes, May we walk in the door of new possibilities. May the courage to live this day enliven our dreams again. The desire to rest and sleep is stronger every evening. But what goes on within these silent solitary sleeps and between the moments when we are fully conscious in a day is still a mystery worth exploring another day.  The sudden fleeting sleep of many of our hero-servants and men here and elsewhere tickles a tearful reality of our eminent sleep someday to come. It's a tricky truth we hate to know and shy away from any day. But when our new ancestors still beat the resounding drums of eternity, we all have an urgent duty to prepare to live, even as we rehearse this tall inevitable journey. And as we reflect on our ultimate sleep with each sleep, may we be ever mindful of the needful duty of our walk here. May we ever remember to care and live our call every moment. What are we learning anew now? What are we doing with all our experiences? How are we utilising the gift of life today? Is there something we can teach ourselves today? It is possible even today for us to teach ourselves to do things differently in unique ways for our betterment. It's possible that we are gifted in subtle ways we are yet to explore.
