WHISPERS OF INSPIRATION

We walked the distance of days in months with grace. We moved through many opportunities in challenges. We caressed our appetites for many things through the year without necessarily considering the subtle or global effects on us or others. Many took million steps  of several beginnings in this year. Numerous others attempted but missed their steps or overstepped their boundaries. We also heard interesting news we are proud to listen to again or are even shy to learn from them. This year marked the entry of hundreds of millions through births, while millions exited through deaths. Some needless deaths of our compatriots could have been avoided if not for our benign negligence, yet we still find our voices to sing the never again mantra. This year holds pleasant and unpleasant memories for many of us with sticky experiences. People's thought and deeds in this year might either affect us or others positively or negatively. We may have our ups and downs this year, but

Seasonal messages are good, so long as they communicate our wishful intentions. Goodwill messages are beautiful so long as they tickle our minds and hearts. But beyond the goodwill messages, And the beautiful messages, We need REAL ACTION and GENUINE CONCERN for our fellow human beings. Embrace the goodwill and blessings walking in the season. Be receptive to the love blowing through the season. As sojourners on this earth, we are reminded daily of our eternal duty to live meaningful lives. To do this, we are required to be attentive to what we do and be ever mindful of our eternal goal. We are fairly where we are because we have multiple identities shaped by age long stereotypes. Our reality of what is, always rival what ought to be. But sadly, our identities has been inflicted with mostly borrowed and a disjointed view of others about us. We know of the loud frames of active psychology behind our identities. Even with our current steep psychosocial structure, which feeds on the rigid frames and stereotypes of others about us, we need to carefully rethink a collective identity.  We need to create our own identity frames, and evolve structural instruments of our personal development tailored on our unique needs. We cannot expect or entrust this duty to our best-loved politicians to execute, because it's too important to our very survival. It's a culturally design problem that needs a collective sociocultural answer. Our identity is critical in all we do. It's a vital factor in our goings and comings. So the harmattan is being accused of suffocating the growth of green cash in our pockets. From the market square we've heard the sentiments and complaints about the seemingly cashless seasonal Christian celebration.  But  Van Jones poignantly notes in a discourse that "Dr. King didn't get famous giving a speech that said,"I have a complaint." It's time for us to start dreaming again and invite the country to dream with us. We don't  have any 'throw away' species, nations, or children. We must birth a global green economy strong enough to lift people out of poverty". This call is key to restore a new perspective to our progress.
