What If Tomorrow Never Comes?
Like a sunrise, we too rise to respond to the duty of life.
And as sunsets, we either retire from our roles or return to our rooms and roots.
It's a fact that in between sunrise and sunset or daytime and nighttime a lot of things happen.
Sometimes the burden of our worries, struggles and lamentations often diminish the reality that life itself is a gift.
Somehow, we forget to appreciate the little blessings in our lives and the lives of our loved ones.
Many a time, we take for granted the fact that we are part of the same humanity and that our actions and inactions affect others.
We fight each other and disturb the sanity of others just because our interest is not being served.
We sometimes go to every length to bring down others because they don't belong to our camp.
We often peddle half-truths about others and deploy wicked machinations to hurt or kill the dreams of others.
We occasionally cheer up those squandering our fortune and goodwill and crucify those struggling to save our ship from sinking.
But what if tomorrow never comes?
What will happen if our time elapses tonight?
Perhaps in responding to the duty of life, we should care to be kind and respect others.
Perhaps we should remember that we are the linkages between our Ancestors and our Children.
In rising to walk in the sunshine of each day, we should be mindful of being our best and daring to serve each other.
In waking up to live, maybe we should be willing to inspire and reach out to others in our little ways.
Maybe before signing off for the day, we should endeavour to be at peace with ourselves, others and our Creator.
Maybe beyond striving to thrive we should remember that one day we may return to wherever we are coming from.
Maybe in living our mission, we should care to plant lasting values and virtues that will inspire others.
Maybe we should try to listen to ourselves and others more and be HUMAN BEINGS AGAIN.
If the sunlight doesn't pass our way again,
Will our rest be pleasant or unpleasant?
Will our rest be peaceful or unpeaceful?
Will our biography motivate or demotivate?
Will we be proud of our legacies?
Best wishes to you
Greetings
