A Yawning Quest

Funny waves of odd practices still lingers, amidst the blessings from sunrise to sunset.

We hear credible and incredible news from various news rooms across the globe, featuring facts and fallacies.

From many countless narratives of our time, we see many fault lines of departure from what ought to be.

From one incident to another chaotic one, the world seems to be reeling under a stubborn spell of indiscipline, hatred, greed, impunity and a state of anarchy.

The absence of authentic care for one another, the reduction of everything to monetary value and disregard for basic precepts has eroded our collective human value.

The equation of success to the capitalist and socialist view points, places less value on holistic human development.

The era where everything goes just because of one's richness or affluence and influence is worrying.
The situation where one's close affinity to power gives them some aura of invisibility to act with impunity is a deadly unsustainable practice.

And while these things are ongoing,
A people's quest to live a life,
A quest to express their thoughts,
A quest to earn a living or engage,
A quest to improve in all aspects,
A quest for liberty and dignity,
A quest for respect and independence,
Are still loud and relevant in these times.

Today, the yawning quest for authentic Responsible, Responsive and Respectful Leadership is Real.
The yawning quest to evolve innovative and creative strategies to tackle the evils in our society is critical.
This is why there's even a bigger quest for an incorruptible, indispensable and accountable leadership we can trust.
A leadership to sustain our peace, dispense justice and holistic vision of our future and guide us on that path.

There is a critical yawning quest to move beyond mere rhetoric and give flesh or tangible meaning to what we say on all platforms.
This is the more reason there's an undying quest for a responsive and resolute citizenry to make claims for the ideal state and to live their side of the bargain to help build.

May Yahweh be our guide and help us address these teething challenges which has assumed a monstrous nature in our leadership at all levels.

In our quest to satisfy our daily needs of what to eat and wear, we very often forget or give less attention to the very things that equally needs our care.  Sometimes our busy schedules in search of money or comfort are making us take little care of some pertinent things in our lives that we ought to care about.  Oftentimes, we also become too petty, bemoan and complain too much of our challenges of what's not done or what's still needed to do. Today, in seeking a balance, may we always value the little things like our faith, integrity, concern for the human family.
