While We Pray

Every situation demands some sort of action.
But some situations require urgent actions.
Crisis or emergency situations need critical attention and special response.
We are aware of the staggering tally of casualties, since the outbreak of the coronavirus.
We are conscious of the inconveniences that come with the tides.
Many businesses are suffering, while others are thriving during these times.
The impact on several sectors of our society is incalculable.
The fear and panic associated with the pandemic cannot be quantified.
In fact, all these happenings give credence to the adage that tragedy triggers transformation.
It's too early to predict whether this pandemic would influence us positively.

But as we pray and beg God to intervene,
As we bow in supplication, we pray we also listen to each other and heed the early warning signs.
As we kneel and raise our arms in prayer,
May we grow to live harmoniously with others and our environment.

While we pray to thank God for the gift of life,
May we be prepared to rethink ways of improving.
While we seek the face of God,
May we be willing to invest in a sustainable health system.
While we pray to seek God's favour,
May we should admit our failures and repent from our greedy ways.
While we pray and besieged our Creator,
May we think of ways to seriously do the needful while the sunshine.
While we pray for God's mercy,
May we think of investing in scientific and technological know-how on the building.
As we pray our hearts out to the Most High,
May we be willing to change our attitude and instill the value of authentic CARE in our lives.
May we be interested in building strong systems, structures and resourcing them to function.
May we empower the underprivileged and make efforts to ensure our support systems really work.

As we pray for another sunshine of hope,
May we value the little things of life and appreciate every moment in this space.

While we pray for a solution to the COVID-19,
let's also take personal responsibility for our SAFETY and BE SAFE.
Greetings
