MANAGING HURDLES

Although we cannot control our expectations and things that happen to us in a day, we still have the power to make a choice. We have the capability to manage our reactions at anytime.

We're blessed with the ability to manage the gift of life and all our expectations, fears and challenges.

In Ghana, perhaps one recurring expression we often hear during the exchange of pleasantries with people from all walks of life is 'managing'.
This word summarises efforts people were or are making to cope with life and its somewhat dancing tunes.
However you see it, fact is that we're all managers in our own right. Yes you're one of the numerous managers I still respect.

Once you're able to seek a balance in your likes and dislikes, you're managing yourself.
The many times you think of situations and reflect on your motives with an expected outcome, you're managing your life.
The several moments you calculate your income and expenditure and opt for an economical way of living, you're managing your life.
The way you adjust in times of need, or adopt measures in times when you're preparing to write an exam, or during social events, including parties, marriages, funerals etc, you're managing your life.
The sense of urgency we attach to time in the performance of our duties also forms part of this management issue.

So please how are you managing things today?
How're you managing your emotions, motives and intentions today?
How're you managing your relationships with people today?

In fact we're all given 24hours a day within which we're supposed to do all that is required of us to live well, however we know too well how we default or miss out on some of our management hurdles.

Yes, there are critics, 'the konongo kaya', the detractors, gossips and others breathing negative energies around but you've to learn to manage them.

To live successfully, a friend recently told me about the need to manage oneself and your relationships with your friends, colleagues, relatives, subordinates, superiors, as well as your God.
We need to also manage our spirituality, religiosity, and even how we care for the things in our lives.
We need to respect the lines at every stage, even as we live in this age of sustainable management.
We also need to cultivate a responsive use of our resources in order not to abuse or excessively exploit these resources, be it money, energy, talents, skills or our natural resources.
May God bless us with a sterling attitude to properly manage all that we have to manage in order to live peacefully with one another.
Remain blessed my esteem manageress/manager. And have a beautiful day.
