✍🏿WRITING ON THE WALL✍🏿

"When the gold and silver vessels taken from the house of God in Jerusalem had been brought in, and while the king, his lords, his wives and his entertainers were drinking wine from them, they praised their gods of gold and silver, bronze and iron, wood and stone.
Suddenly, opposite the lampstand, the finger of a human hand appeared, writing on the plaster of the wall in the king's palace." Dan 5: 3-5
The written word: "MENE, TEKEL, and PERES": means God has numbered your kingdom and put an end to it; you have been weighed on the scales and found wanting; your kingdom has been divided and given to the Medes and Persians. (Dan. 5:25-28)
Prophet Daniel in interpreting the writing on the wall to King Belshazzar said the Most High God gave your father Nebuchadnezzar a great kingdom and glorious majesty. But when his heart became proud and his spirit hardened by insolence, he was put down from his throne and deprived of his glory. (Dan 5: 18-20)
The writing is still on the wall today and it is sad how the clouds of corruption, greed, selfishness and shady schemes still blurs our vision to see the bold writings on the wall.
May God give us insight to see the writing on the wall and to understand the rhythms of the time. May He imbue us with courage and empower us to stand for the truth always, and in difficult times. May Yahweh help us act accordingly to save our souls this day.

The numerous concerns about the behaviour of men in certain quarters has affected the development of boys. Even more worrying is the machismo and bravado portrayal of boys character trait. These developments coupled with some socialisation trends has equally fluenced boys and subtly contributed to the death of many men. The celebration of #InternationalBoysDay 2018, which is not a direct response to the #InternationalDayoftheGirlChild 2012, was to encourage teaching and modelling of boys value that include honour and integrity.
