CONTROL LEVELS

Several years ago, a friend of mine lived near the Control Market area at Dansoman.
The name might have been given to the place during the Price Control era imposed by the PNDC government in the 80s.
We were just three friends, with the other young lad residing at Sahara, while yours sincerely lived at Sahara Down, all suburbs of Dansoman, Accra.
We have since the late 90s been good friends, who tried controlling, cajoling, complimenting and criticising ourselves in a way.

We argued, played, talked, traded gossips, and visited each other.
But in all we subtly influenced each other in a way, either in our attitudes or in some shared values from our unique backgrounds.

It is so with us all. In fact, in all we do from our homes, offices, social gatherings, political groupings, professional associations, economic activities, religious fellowship and in virtually what we do, we try to control or influence each other in away.

In our individual lives too, we have certain peculiar controls on how we do what we do, and in not doing what we ought to do, what plans we take and what actions or reactions we do take.

Sometimes our parents, guardians, teachers caretakers and people we interact with influence and control the way we think, the way we perceive things and the way we judge or assess others.
Sometimes our past experiences affect what we do passively or actively.
Other times some people in our lives dictate or control what we do and don't do.

In our society too, we know of these laud control levels, sometime embedded in our value system.
There is ample respect for the elderly who are supposed to be controlling and dictating the pace of things and how they happen.
But in reality, we know that the affluent, rich and smart people are running and controlling affairs.

These same control levels runs through globally, to the extent that though we claim to live in a global village where there is an even opportunity for participation in the affairs of this village, we know those in the Northern Hemisphere and Western world control a lot of the affairs.

So who controls our lives?
Who determines where we go in a day?
Who controls how and when we sleep?
Who controls what we say or what we do or don't do?
How is this control measured?
Maybe we should just let things be and not interrogate what controls us.

But tell you what, besides what we know and know not,
Besides what we know about ourselves and don't know,
Besides what others tells us about these subtle controls,
Is the DIVINE CONTROL or God's Control of TIME.

We are required to know this God and have personal discourse
with Him so that He that CONTROLS Eternity as well as the Past, Present and the Future,
will direct our course to live through this tides of TIME.
May God Bless you this day. ‪#‎KYB‬ Signs#®
