The People's Treaty

Image
Treat people the way you wish to be treated. It is vital to treat people and even the ground you walk on with a level of respect. It is a fact, we are sometimes inconsiderate in the way we judge people, be they strangers, subordinates, juniors, the marginalised, and friends. They all have their silent battles. It is likely we hastily dismiss those who show signs of suspension of a probable misdemeanour, without looking beyond the obvious. Often our astute powers of observation might help us to notice aspects of someone’s character that don’t measure up to standards. We may also condemn others not because we truly know them, but based on hearsays and what a third-person told us. It’s likely we may even set the bar of expectations so high that only a few could pass our tough standards. While not advocating for people's security consciousness to be lowered, it behoves us all to treat everyone with dignity and decency. We even have a greater need to care for those o

R-and-R Resolve

The demands of life activities could put undue pressures on us. Sometimes, we become susceptible to these realities and we need to recharge. Rest and Relaxation are critical in this resolve. So, kindly consider taking a little R-and-R. Take time out to Rest, Relax, Recharge and Reflect. Often we need to empty our mind and relax our muscles in order to unwind. We need to court inner peace in order to retune. The practice of silence and solitude allows one to appreciate the new perspective on life. This is because in this age of noise and distraction, There's a greater need to relax in silence. And once you recharge your batteries, you will rejuvenate the power to relive these experiences. Remain Positive. Greetings ©KYB ✍🏿19/01/20

Everyday Affair

Of the many wondering words of a wonderful day, Are the interlinked wedges of warmth. Of the many sticky stories stoking our stable stalls, Are some striking strategies of several sets. But as the gossip train sometimes passes, the truth is likely to be confused in these varying contexts of our content. One thing, however, is clear that there's something powerful than our laws. The culture, values, norms, beliefs of people as well as their fears and strives. It is even likely that in our everyday affair, a struggle for the soul of humanity is being waged - between good and evil, hope and despair, trust and distrust, truth and falsehood, fear and love, tribalism and unity, wisdom and what may seem like wisdom. Its possible conflicts are ongoing, within us between dogmas and our sense of reason, between good old principles and the fanciful ones of the present, between what to say and what not to say, between our individual creeds and greed. And this might be going on in each o

A Care Constitution

Guidelines and rules are good to ensure order and the protection of all especially the vulnerable in our society. Codified and none codified rules are necessary to guide us in our lives as a society and nation. Besides the arrogation of powers and the designation of the processes of appointment, as well as the allocation of filters to check excesses those we entrust with power, there is a need to ensure a caring constitution. Even as we try to ensure that we are not cast down by the mischief of our political servants, we should be mindful of the abuses our servants we elect are likely to perpetuate. It's not enough to celebrate the stability we have enjoyed this while but to do more to lessen the widening inequality among the people. There is even an urgent need to even rethink the architecture of our Constitution to secure the environment from further destruction. We need to even imbue a certain amount of innovative thinking to make our Constitution more caring and sustainab
