It's easy to follow the crowd this days. Doing the wrong things everybody does is very appealing, if not too tempting. And being correct might be frustrating and challenging, but try and do the right things. Standing your grounds might appear to be madness to the incorrectly correct ones but be correct. Every engagement comes with its conditions. Every situation comes with its conditions. Every opportunity also comes with its conditions. You might know some of these conditions, while not knowing others. But sometimes what's boring is the subtle demand to always worship or observe these conditions. It doesn't allow any room for creativity or innovation and makes the worshipers or observers grow rusty over time. Sometimes, we don't need to conform to some of these unhealthy conditions. Sometimes, all we need is a creative charge that allows for increased qualitative progress. Sometimes, we just need to be daring just to do what's reasonably and logically right instead of always following these somewhat inimical conditionalities. Fear not in doing the right things, even if you're the only one doing it. Fear not to faithfully observe good values, even if you're the only one doing it. Fear not to pray consistently to your God, even if others won't pray. Fear not to dream dreams and to follow your dreams, even if others don't understand its depth. Fear not to forgive, even if others won't forgive you. Fear not to trust your instincts and go for what you really want, even if it seems practically impossible. Fear not to leave your comfort zone and take up the challenge to a new level. "Do something before you die" was one of the 'Jama' songs we chanted to revive our football team back then, which was down with two goals. The song somehow did the magic by spurring them on to equalize the goal deficit in the dying minutes of the match, much to our relief. We all have the gifts of life this day to still behold the beauty of creation, so let's do something positive. So if something is not right, let's not just talk or complain or wait till whoever is charged to work on it comes to fix it. If something is going wrong, let's do something about it. Let's do something today about the many ailing situations our lives, instead of just being unconcerned. Let's do something because we are all servants endowed with special abilities to do something unique with the gift of energy and time. In all, it was a forum questioning our questionable integrity. But I don't want to believe it was another pertinent forum belittled by our pettiness. I don't want to believe it was another forum of concerns that does not compel a corresponding duty for change. I don't want to believe it was another forum that amplified  our correct Anglicise eloquence of our challenges but does nothing about the many cases of thievery and intransigence in our body politics. It's a bold attempt to confront a peculiar political question with seriousness; It's proper to talk tough or nicely about the hiccups in our  democracy, but tell you what, it's not enough to just describe these challenges with beautiful rehearsed English phrases.
